Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

THE ONLY REASON I CANT SAY GET THIS GAME IS THE SAVE SYSTEM! 2 outa 5! I love the block collecting and building. I LOVE the music! I LOVE the adventure and story! I LOVE the chance of coming across community houses in island adventuring. I LOVE the art style! I HATE the save system in this game so much! i need to be able to fully make back up saves and NEVER have to worry about my save BEING corrupted. its so limited in its crappy save system and on XBOX and STEAM BOTH SAVES got corrupted after beating the game EACH TIME OVER 60 HOURS OF WORK EACH!!! unable to perfect the game...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This is hands down the best game of all time. Ever. *Bubbly Bri'ish voice* Nothin' beats a Dragon Quest Builders 2 holiday! For me DQBII is like Animal Crossing, Kingdom Hearts & Minecraft combined, with everything from the more buildery games given useful speed and quality-of-life tweaks. The Good: The building is insanely deep for a game that isn’t doing modern voxely things, with multiple ways to build things that prevent it from taking forever. Crafting is so rich. Systems stack. You get mounts, pets, gadgets, farming, towns that actually function and you can live in, instead of just stare at. And it's actually all presented, contained and finished nicely, instead of being all over the place like modern attempts at this. The writing absolutely wipes the floor with most modern games. It’s funny, sincere and sharp. The NPCs are the best bit. They don’t just exist. They live in what you build, react to it, use it, get excited about it, and shower you with praise. They have more warmth and personality than most real people. Watching a dead place slowly and truly wake up because of what you create is insanely powerful. Visually it says GTFO to the dull grey medieval realism everyone else loves. It’s colourful, bold and full of character. And so, timelessly pretty. It keeps everything great about Dragon Quest’s aesthetic and improves on it. It has even more soul than the mainline RPGs. And all of this comes from a strangely dark premise: What if, in Dragon Quest I, the hero made the obviously wrong decision. Or, put more simply: What if everything was completely f***ed? Out of that comes something gentle, hopeful, and beautiful. Creation as defiance. The darkest idea became the most beautiful game. A game that is really more of a home. The Bad: - Combat's a little basic - Story isn't voiced and un-skippably interrupts you for long pauses at times - Multiplayer unlocks too late, suffers zero combat-sync and offers too little - Building limitations are a little strict for modern computers - Ultrawide it aint, so black-bars 4 u. There was a fix that worked, but now it's busted again. - The intro hour is quite restrictively awful and does not reflect what you will experience later It's 2026. This is still it. Flaws are few. Do a buy. P.S. it's... kinda weird that the only other game that replicates anything close to this particular mix of features is Fallout 4 - 3D, combat, great story, great writing, deep building systems, NPC's actually using stuff - It doesn't feel related, and yet, somehow there is shared DNA there.
I reviewed Dragon Quest Builders 1 as "what if Minecraft had a story, a structure, goals and was actually fun?" DQB2 improves on its predecessor in almost every way....except...the dialogues. Not the quality of them, just the frequency! Your building and progress is constantly halted so that characters can jammer endlessly at you. For the love of all that is Holy, please SHUT UP and let me build! Other than that...yes, good!
We need a Dragon Quest builders 3
