Detective Grimoire

I remember playing this game as a teen on my phone, and it is still such a hoot to play! I had replayed the flash game online from 2007 before I replayed this as it refreshed me on some of the references mentioned in this one. It is a game I think about every so often since I had first played it and was so happy to find it here! It's definitely on the shorter end of games, so would definitely recommend buying on sale if possible, but I do not think the price is too unfair at all if you take your time with the game. Nonetheless, it is a fun and enticing point n click mystery game. The storyline is intriguing, the characters are fun, and the overall design is enjoyably unique.

Muy bueno. Es corto y no es que tenga una revelación complicadísima al final pero no importa. Los personajes, el diseño, ir descubriendo el lugar y el suceso, las mecánicas, los pequeños puzles aquí y allá...Genial

A good, quick puzzle game and a wonderful introduction to the series! I started with Tangle Tower and wanted to finish this one before moving onto the third game. It sets up the next game nicely and while it isn't very complicated, it's got the same charm as the rest!

Overall just a very well made game ! The puzzles were nothing too complicated but they were fun, all characters were interesting, had cool designs and voice acting was on point, the atmosphere really suited the theme of dark swamp and the overall story and ending were nice too in my opinion. My only complain would be that it got pretty tiring asking every NPC about every single item you collected throughout the game, but other than that, really solid game !

Absolutely delightful. The mystery was fun! The characters were lively and so unique. Well worth the time I put into it. I had so much fun!

It official. I'm obsessed with this series. While it obviously shows it's age compared to the newest game it's still a blast to play. The cast of characters and writing were the best part as expected. Witty and delightful. The soundtrack was flawless. Puzzles were fun but pretty simple this time around. Character designs and setting were still lovingly handcrafted. All in all you can absolutely see the bones of what would be fully fleshed out in the later entries. I will be diving into Tangle Tower asap. Loved it.
