About

Democracy 3 is the work of a single developer, Cliff Harris from the UK, an indie games veteran who has been making games since 1997 and programming since he was 11 years old. Cliff gets some 'help' from his cats, but frankly not much...Sums Steam only; GOG publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
A political simulation/strategy game where take control of a country and change political policies to try to solve its problems and stay in office, mainly through manipulating sliders to control how much budget gets applied to policies or how restrictive they are, and then analyzing the impact is has via graphs and whatnot. It's very sandboxy with no real goals apart from the ones that you set. Unfortunately the game seems to have a bunch of stability issues, crashing regularly and occasionally locking up.
we think it is easy to become a country leader in democratic country but we end up becoming crappy and people pleaser...great game though

Great game for a politics nerd like myself; however, after playing for a couple of hours and figuring out the game, I started to get a little bored. I wish there were never new policies and more crises later on in the game. I do have hopes that later versions of this games will make it grow in complexity.
As someone who enjoys politics and games of this nature, I really have a hard time recommending this game. Unfortunately, it is simply not fun, and more of a labour task than anything else. Micromanaging and excessive attention to detail make this game a chore. Moreover, it is not very clear how to resolve certain issues, and the sheer volume of issues that are faced make it more of a frustration than anything else. For whatever reason, it could not keep my attention as well as many other games that I have reviewed.
This is a great game. The graphics are fun and charming, and the UI is so intuitive that you can jump right in without feeling overwhelmed. I had a lot of fun playing this and definitely think it is worth your time.
I find it funny that one can completely eviscerate state pensions at no consequence while reasonable tax polices will get you killed by the capitalist - still worth playing.
The game is what i was looking for, the best politic simulator out there
4.0 / 5.0 ★★★★
