Dear Esther immerses you in a stunningly realised world, a remote and desolate island somewhere in the outer Hebrides. As you step forwards, a voice begins to read fragments of a letter: 'Dear Esther...' - and so begins a journey through one of the most original first-person games of recent years.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 22 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A classic. First steps for the walk-sim genre. It's very raw in many cases, but for me this sturdyness just made me relax. This game is beautiful <3

Well, I finished it. Not sure what to say. The 'gory' dialogue felt unnatural and forced, which I disliked. Story and its meaning could have been good, if worked upon further. Visuals were very nice. Gameplay-wise its a walking sim, simple interactions with the enviroment and few puzzles would greatly elevate the game. All things considered, Im glad it was only 70 mins long.
Dear Esther is something special. The narration, art direction, environments, music, story, the slowness. Everything just works so well and doesn't clash with one another in any way. I don't know what to say apart from the fact that this is genuinely a beautifully magnificent game. It is worth the time. It's not too long, less than 3 hours long.
норм
Note perso: (9,5/10)
