Dear Esther immerses you in a stunningly realised world, a remote and desolate island somewhere in the outer Hebrides. As you step forwards, a voice begins to read fragments of a letter: 'Dear Esther...' - and so begins a journey through one of the most original first-person games of recent years.

Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 22 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A Beautiful Experience.

It was a healing experience for me, at the time I played it it really helped me accept the end of precious things to me, I hold it dearly in a corner of my heart
4/10
3/10
Cryptic walking sim. Kinda boring but got my 10k steps in.
Extraño a mi esposa
Dear Dan Pinchbeck, Nigel Carrington, Jessica Curry and Rob Briscoe, When you decide todo another game, please do not ever do another director's cut like that. The chance of getting the acheivement is at 0% for me for some reason. I completed walkthroughs, counted each one, waited for each one to play through longer than necessary. Ive now played longer than like 6 players and wouldnt mind jumping too after that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This started as a nice walk... it really ended in me writting this review very sad with rage with no last acheivement. Loveley game but do a better set up next time for tracking purposes, was waste of my time. 👍
