About
Day of the Shell is a fast-paced tactical roguelite, where each turn is played in a single click.
The gods have brought down their wrath on humanity, and only a few remote islands remain. A lonely monster huntress has risen to challenge and appease the gods, traveling through what's left of the world.
One Click, One Turn: Tactical choices are made with a single click, making gameplay simple and dynamic while maintaining strategic depth.
Explore the Islands: Survive against monsters and collect treasures on each island to open its portal. Will you be able to reach the heart of the Islands and destroy the Shell?
Shape Your Destiny: Combine the powers of the many Warden's blessings to fight your enemies. Different variations and combinations will allow you to create a unique playstyle for each game.
Death is Part of the Adventure: With each death, you return to your home island, where you can permanently upgrade or consider your strategy for the next day.

I tried really hard to like this game but, enemies just become more of a damage sponge the more you progress.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Для подобного жанра, мало вариативности. Вся игра сводится к чередованию атак и поиска синих клеток. Думаю дело не в пошаговасти, а в целом в доступном арсенале персонажа. На одной атаке, геймплей сильно не вывезешь.
After the first boss, the health of enemies scale so much, you have to start grind meta currencies just to be able to play on the second biome of the game
It's like Hades but turn-based. Sadly, not nearly as good or as interesting as hades, but I appreciate the dev. It's a cool game, build variety and some sort of consumable item like a grenade would add a lot more replayability. I would recommend if all the things I mentioned previously are something you like. Turn based tactic rougelikes are a niche this game fills nicely.

While the unbalanced gameplay on the second area (I guess it will be better/easier when I unlock more stuff) doesn't bother me as much as others, the random bug of the game becoming unresponsive at the middle of a mission or whenever I go back to the beginning area (after dying) is something that should have been fixed by now. Unfortunately the last update was released last year and the devs don't seem to be active on the steam forum. Since the devs have a new game announced, I doubt that they'll return to this, so....
Lots of bugs with the controller, and the controller cursor logic feels weird as well. For example, why is the cursor allowed to move to buildings or places where the player cannot move anyway? It made me lose track of my cursor multiple times. When collecting items, the character needs to stop at the item area in order to collect them. The user cannot click once to move and collect the item, then immediately click again to move to the desired destination, or the item will not be collected. The user has to wait for the first movement to finish, collect the item, and only then click another place (after all enemies are cleared) In my opinion, this does not feel like smooth UX. another bug is when i finished the level i need to exit the game since i cannot move my character at all, i need to reopen the game to solve this bug.
