Badly aged, but still good if you are able to deal with it. Great exploration and introduction to the series and a great first half of the game overall - which can not really ne said about second half.

I beat the game. It is not that hard, but it is extremely unfair. The game design feels incomplete and extremely disrespectful to the players time. Trial and error gameplay / vague gameplay / unexplained mechanics will never make a good game. DS1R is riding entirely on nostalgia and the fact that it doesn't have "the message" being shoved down our throats, but that shouldn't be a bar for a good game.
