melhor souls da saga DS
75/100 - A Nostalgic Hit
TLDR + A great entry with a super dark and melancholy world + Fantastic stacked world with surprises around every corner + Crazy bosses per usual - Weapon durability is weird - Hate that some achievements are locked behind some ~ Stands apart from the rest of the souls entry in a mixed way GAMEPLAY Gameplay is exactly what you would expect from a souls game. There is a strange learning curve when the dodging is tied to a stat (or so I have heard). Whatever it is, the movement and combat do feel different. For me, this one my souls game so I have a love for this entry in particular. Standalone, this game is amazing but it is different. Not better or worse. Just different. SOUND DESIGN Majula is peak. I think the music in this game is so perfect for the environment. It really tells you that there is a darkness looming under all the sorrow that clouds this game. Everything in this game fits, just right. STORY Man, this game, even as a teenager, had me in my feels. A story of a love, war crimes, atrocities and betrayals. This was the strongest narratives in all of the series in my opinion. Dark Souls has always amazed me with how it feels like the storytelling is more through items, environment, and dialogue and outcomes of those dialogues than tied to a force fed narrative or an on-rails story-stage-cutscene. You become invested in that story when you start to ask questions and find answers for yourself. THE WORLD The world feels like a world sunken into a deep despair. A world in transition to true void. People are getting stuck. Is it a land that exists or existed? Is it fading in obscurity or did it truly never exist? Every character yanks you in a new narrative direction. VISUALS Amazing. I mean, it’s an old game, but i def think the art direction and designs are timeless. Boss designs are dope, per usual. MULTIPLAYER The multiplayer is fun. It’s a peculiar design. The pvp is dope. But soul level is everything in this game specifically. Without a ring, you may have a rough time finding your friends. Conclusion This game is great. It receives a lot of hate from ignorant people. It may not be your favorite Souls game but it is not a bad game. I love it. I think it is definitely worth the purchase for the story alone. For Majula alone! There is so much content stacked in this beautiful game.
peak :3
Pretty good.
Great experiment, but no the greatest game in series. Everything feels clunky and there are a lot of gotcha moments which hurt the design and don't make sense - traps, strange location connections and badly refined aesthetics. The bosses feel like they are not up to the pace and many of them are not very inventive or interesting. Still has its moments and it is a great step towards the evolution of the genre.
