Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Kinda buggy old game. But really entertaining Great of steam deck.
If there ever was a game deserving of a proper remaster or a faithful remake it would be this one. All the ingredients are here for a great game. Unfortunately the game is showing its age. You need to download mods in order to get the game to run at all, and even when you do it feels dated. Movement is floaty, combat is slow and clunky, there is serious input lag, and the kick, my god am I disappointed. After having played sir Kicksalot I expected the kick in this game to be equally fun, but it just isn’t. That being said I can understand why this was a cult classic. The presentation is great, the humour is good, the combat sandbox lets you play the game how you want. It’s only 5 euro so it’s worth the price, I just wish I could enjoy this game without the jank. But I guess they don’t call it euro jank for nothing.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I refuse to shut up about this game to everyone I ever meet. I fell in love with it just by watching the gameplay trailers in a way no other 3A title could with their cliche "epic" BGMs. It has that "old game appeal" but it doesn't have the usual "old game jank". It features modern mechanics that are way ahead of its time, all with an incredible level of polish. Everyday I wish for more First Person RPG campaigns like this on the market but my prayers are unanswered. I bless the day I first watched the trailers, and I thank God for being born in this generation.
A hidden gem overlooked by other big games. Experimental physics are incredible!
I was born in the early 90s, and I was 15 when this game came out. I absolutely loved it, especially the combat system, skills, and story. It is still one of my favorite games.
One of the best PC games of the 2000s. Amazing physics and mechanics
This game is an "outdated" RPG that you've probably never heard of. It still outclasses every other game of its ilk two decades later. This is the game that your favorite game ripped off.
In the year 2026 this game is not playable, you have to do fixes and download some shady stuff to get it to work. but with that being said once you can get it to run it still suffers from softlocks and crashes. I really did enjoy the game the source engine still holds up today (gameplay wise), there was no end to the use of physics items and weird but entertaining combat. The story wasn't really anything worth remembering but that's not why you would play this game. The combat feels really solid at times (as long as you are in the right spot and working with the engine) but most of the time it feels like you are hoping a hit will land, but the magic is way too much fun. You should go into this game with a VERY open mind, Don't even bother trying to take it seriously just take in the wacky physics and the fantasy vibe. 6.5/10 too many softlocks/crashes
Initial Thoughts: I have just completed Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. It is a quirky, flawed, yet a fun experience. This game hates modern Windows OS’s. You will run into frequent crashes, without following a guide it’s pretty much unplayable. I used this guide to minimize the issues, it helped; pay close attention to your graphics settings, as some will directly affect your crash rate. https://www.reddit.com/r/darkmessiah/comments/jqixcy/fixing_crashes_for_dark_messiah/ Story: The storyline is fairly simple. It has evil undertones and a couple suspicious mentors who slowly reveal themselves over time. It isn't going to win any writing awards, but it does feature alternate endings, so your decisions actually matter, which is a nice touch. Characters: The characters serve the plot well enough, but you aren't playing this for a deep character study. The interactions are serviceable, though the real "character" here is the physics engine and the enemies, which are what you would expect, this game runs on the source engine as seen in Half Life 2, albeit a very old version of it, it has all those fun physics as seen in valve titles from that era. Oh, and Medieval Cortana, that’s a thing. Gameplay & Mechanics: Movement feels like I'm gliding on a bar of soap. I’m not sure why this wasn’t more polished, but this feature will get you into a lot of trouble. I cannot count the number of times I accidentally fell to my death when attempting to lean off an edge due to an extra push by the "soapy" feet or the turn radius mechanics. The level design is quite tasteful most of the time, but sometimes it is a total mess, specifically the final level, which I did not particularly enjoy. You have to be careful with navigation; if you miss a step or forget a key, it sends you into a spiral of frustrating backtracking. Try not to move too fast. Additionally, if you are playing as a warrior, do not use fast attacks; they are the equivalent of trying to kill someone with a Wii controller. You need to charge your swings to actually be effective. The game can be very difficult, and the ghouls are genuinely unfair. The crafting system is a cool concept, but it is half-baked, like many features in this game; you rarely find the necessary resources for this feature until the end game. However, once you actually create a weapon, wow, it makes a world of difference, the game becomes significantly easier. Also, a major quality-of-life warning: whatever you do, don't shoot two ropes too close together, or you'll never be able to get off them. Oh, and it’s basically a "Kicking Simulator." If you aren't kicking people into spikes, you're missing the point. The level design literally encourages this in almost every encounter; spike traps and ledges are everywhere for this very reason. Graphics: The graphics are fun, but nothing to write home about; as stated it is a very dated version of the Source engine. The skybox is literally a static picture that doesn't move. The lighting effects are weird in general, and there are levels where the wind literally blinds you as if you’ve been flash banged. That said, I enjoy the aesthetic, and if you’re a fan of that era of Source engine games, you likely will as well. Final Thoughts: This game is a 6.5 out of 10. Despite its flaws, it it’s still a fun game. It’s not even close to the same level as its era-peer Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, but you could say it’s as fun if not more fun than Two Worlds or Gothic 3. It is worth a playthrough, especially if you catch it on sale. Score: 6.5/10
