Naprawdę podoba mi się Dark Fall. Strach mnie ogarnia za każdym razem, gdy gram. Intro jest tak straszne, że dostaję gęsiej skórki. 100 / 10

Ein schönes Old School Adventure mit leicht gruseliger Atmosphäre. Ich habe eine Vorliebe für verlassene Orte und deren Geschichte und habe es sehr genossen, durch die alten Räume zu wandern. Die Steuerung ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und die Grafik natürlich auf einem anderen Standard, aber das haben alte Spiele nun ml an sich. Die Rätsel allerdings haben es manchmal ganz schön in sich und man wird oft ohne Anhaltspunkt zurückgelassen, was nun zu tun ist, oder wohin man gehen soll. Alles in allem hat das Spiel Spaß gemacht und ich werde mir auch die anderen Teile ansehen.

Before I say anything about this game, first you need to know that many people have experienced (including me) issues with the screen resolution of this game in both windows and linux, and in my case under linux only using ProtonGE fixed it. So bear that in mind before purchasing it. That being said the game has a very good and intriguing plot, an excellent creepy atmosphere and an investigative "game hunting" mechanic that makes it very good for a horror adventure game. The game it's very challenging though, and it requires a lot of patience to find clues, and items and solve puzzles that can get very frustrating a times, so I would only recommend it to veteran adventure players, and not to people starting in the genre. The gameplay it's well... old as the game itself and can be rough at times too.

Ahh nostalgia, I missed this game so much. Dark Fall was such a unique experience the first time I played it, and now 20+ years later its still such a treat. I honestly forgot so much about this game so when I was using the camera and made it to the right spot, i jumped when the static kicked on...not gonna lie. Its a great point and click experience, the environment is unique it manages to put you on edge and embrace you at the same time. The whole time you're waiting for something to pop out but nothing happens, the audio queues come in perfect intervals so the moment you feel relaxed again there's another musical note, or whisper, or scratch...I GET IT MAN YOU MASTERED THE SPOOKY BUT PLEASE GIVE ME A MOMENT. The puzzles....THE PUZZLES!!!!!! SOOOO GOOOOOOD, look the answers to every single puzzle is out in the form of a note or visual, go explore and take your time. You'll know you have the answer the moment you see it, I think thats a super solid way to do things. Exploring is not only fun but there's a payoff, bits and pieces of the story slowly revealing themselves. Do i recommend this? Absolutely, i have been for years. This is a very unique experience and it is one that will stick with you for years. This is honestly art, its a 2002 game that managed to stand out and carve a cult following because this was the absolute best ghost experience of the time. If you've never played this game, do yourself the favor and dig in. Its a quick experience, you'll finish this and go 'that was good', the ending for The Journal was very well executed. There, I'm done hyping up one of my favorite pc games from my childhood.

Can't really complain, a lot of game play for not much money and lots of challenges to confront. If I had any complaints, it would be that (at least my experience) as the game progressed it became easier - in a lot of instances - to simply guess the solution than spend the time and effort to work out the solution.
