мой правитель заболел простудой, врач отрезал ему ногу отчего тот умер от шока. титул перешел двухлетнему ребенку со слабоумием, а вассалы подняли восстание. прекрасная игра, 10/10.
**130+ hours in, and I still find myself coming back to Crusader Kings II.** What I love most about CK2 is its incredible historical essence. As someone who's a huge history nerd, there's something genuinely fascinating about being able to play as historical characters I've read about in books and then completely change the course of their lives—and sometimes the fate of entire empires. You can start as a relatively insignificant ruler and, generations later, have your dynasty controlling massive parts of the world. Every campaign feels like you're creating your own alternate history. The **political, family, and bureaucratic systems** are extremely complex at first, and there are times when the sheer amount of information can feel overwhelming. But that's exactly what makes the game so much fun. Managing marriages, alliances, succession, vassals, factions, rivalries, assassinations, rebellions, and family drama makes you feel less like you're simply playing a strategy game and more like you're actually ruling a medieval dynasty. Half the time, your biggest enemy isn't another kingdom—it's your own family. Interestingly, the **combat system is extremely simple**, which I think works in the game's favor. The real strategy happens before the battle: building your army, choosing commanders, managing your realm, and making sure you actually have the resources to fight a war. The **technology system** is another feature I really enjoy. It gives you a constant reason to keep developing your realm instead of simply conquering everything in sight. Watching your kingdom gradually advance and become more powerful over generations is incredibly satisfying. And then there are the **Great Works and massive structures**. Building something monumental and eventually seeing it become a permanent part of your realm gives you a genuine sense of accomplishment. It's one of those little systems that makes you feel like your ruler actually left a mark on history. What makes CK2 special, though, is how unpredictable every playthrough can become. A perfectly planned campaign can fall apart because your heir dies, your kingdom gets divided by succession, your wife betrays you, your vassals revolt, or your idiot son decides that becoming a tyrant is a fantastic idea. 😂 The game doesn't just give you objectives—it **creates stories**. Some of my most memorable moments weren't victories or conquests, but completely ridiculous situations that somehow emerged from the game's systems. After 130+ hours, I'd say Crusader Kings II is less about *winning* and more about **creating a dynasty, watching it rise, watching it fall, and somehow convincing yourself that you'll do better next time.** **If you're a history nerd who enjoys strategy, politics, dynasty-building, and creating your own alternate history, CK2 is an absolute masterpiece.**
CKII is the perfect embodiment of the phrase: 'If you live an interesting life and die an interesting death, you won't be remembered as just a footnote in history but an interesting footnote'. If you enjoy roleplaying or Medieval history in general, you will absolutely fall in love with this game. The main downside is that the vanilla game, like more than a few Paradox titles, is incredibly bland; playable, of course, but bland. Although the DLC is well worth the expense, in my opinion, I can appreciate that not everyone is willing to fork over exorbitant amounts of money, their soul and their pet cat to greedy Emperor Paradox. At least this game has the benefit of being discontinued.
самый главный враг этой игры это не короли не александр македонский и не циклоп из илеады. это ♥♥♥♥♥♥ русификатор
the moment I start a campaign I feel like a god hovering over a bunch of tiny people in a miniverse who attempt social climbing at an expense of their own values and dignity, only for me to kill their bloodline because I wanted better tax income. im pulling Genghis khan strategies, marrying off my daughters to secure allies and sending their husbands to war until they suspiciously die. using inheritance, claims and some chaos to absorb more land into my empire, thinking that every neighbouring kingdom looked more like a future province than a sovereign nation. I was convincing myself that every betrayal was for "stability" and development of my empire, because I thought "what leader doesn't sacrifice people attempting to speak the truth?" (e.g. trump) so I mixed some modernism in there. at some point I was so sleep deprived I didn't know if I genuinely had an unhealthy obsession with world domination or if I was just a little kinky. I feel like a money hungry jew when I see land on the map I haven't claimed. Scary how this game turns me into a make a wish dictator for peasant children who feed into the concept of the cycle of civilization. 9/10 game, makes me dream too big...cant happen again after that Austrian painter.
