About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I haven't beat this game yet but the time I have spent has been very enjoyable. The atmosphere and gameplay are the standouts for me and I've had plenty of memorable moments where the game just sucked me in like few others have. The game also runs well for me. These make it worth the asking price, especially if you are a fan of games like RE4, Silent Hill, SOMA, and Dead space as it seems to draw inspiration of from all of them. The constructive criticism I have leans on the writing and cutscene animations. All things being equal I find the dialogue to be awkward at times (grammar not being quite right or the emphasis seeming to be off when some characters are speaking). I also think some of the hand/arm gestures are awkward during cutscenes. To illustrate, during gameplay you get this smooth and extremely weighty feel for the character animations (some of the best I've seen). But then during the cutscenes it almost looks like the characters in suits are doing a robot impression (it made me chuckle a couple times because you could go "beep boop I'm a robot" and it would actually line up sometimes). None of these are even close to dealbreakers to me at least.
I rented this game for my PS5 months back just to try it out. I was so impressed I brought it on Steam on when it was on sale. This is a solid horror game with a big emphasis on ammo and inventory mangement. I'm constantly juggling my inventory with ammo, health, weapons, and key items. There are lots of times I have to leave an item behind just to get something that I can use to upgrade my character. This could be frustrating to some people, but it's perfect for those who really want to get an old school survival horror feel. The sound and atmosphere is top notch, especially with a good set of headphones. You will always hear the floor creaking, the heavy footsteps of your character, and the monsters prowling the area. Speaking of the monsters, as the time I'm writing this review, there isn't a lot of variety. But fighting them can get stressful, especially when multiple of them spawn from every direction. Fights can get pretty intense if your not prepared for them. For my PC, I have it on the high quality setting. It runs pretty good for the most part, but there are notable slowdowns and lags in bigger areas. But that usually goes away after a few seconds, so it doesn't bother me. If there are any cons I can think of, is the fact you can't 180 quick turn or shoulder swap. But those are minor nitpicks. If you want a solid game in the survival horror genre, this game won't disappoint!
