About
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brutal third-person survival horror where you fight for the future by salvaging the past. Burn monsters before they merge. Extract souls from the living. Adapt or die.

Set in a grim world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futurist technology, Cronos: The New Dawn lets you experience a gripping story that straddles the line between past and future.
In the past, you will witness a world in the throes of The Change, a cataclysmic event that forever altered humanity. Meanwhile, in the ravaged wastelands of the future, every moment is a fight for survival against dangerous abominations that will test both your reflexes and your tactical thinking.
You are a Traveler working for the enigmatic Collective, tasked with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of time rifts that will transport you to 1980s-era Poland.

In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you’ll encounter are nightmarish creatures, born from the remnants of humanity – defeating them will require you to make full use of your arsenal.
You can manipulate temporal Anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment, and will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies. Good preparation is key. Once in battle, split-second decisions can mean the difference between life
and death.
The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
The only way to stop them? Burn their bodies. And do it fast.
If you don’t, you’ll face ever-evolving abominations that will push your combat skills to their limits.

Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
But be wary: these essences have a profound impact on your journey.
The more you carry, the more haunted your suit becomes — increasing your prowess on the battlefield but also bringing with them whispers in your ear and flickers into your vision, edging you ever closer to madness.

First impressions: - this is an incredibly optimized game - the combat although decently jank, offers a redeeming feel - the design is fine many ways forward consist of killing enemys or finding a code - graphics and atmostphere are incredible - no annoying main character yapping mc dialogue feels natural - not a huge fan of the anomaly system, it feels to strait forward - no hard mode from first playthrough which is a huge gripe of mine

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 13.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Klare Empfehlung für Dead Space Veteranen! Gute Grafik, guter Sound, fairer Schwierigkeitsgrad und tolle Atmosphäre. Nicht zu gruselig und somit auch für Angsthasen spielbar 🤓
How the ♥♥♥♥ is this game so good, and why isn't it more popular? Highly recommend it!
its just ok . nothing scarry about it. the story is weak. im finding myself just running through it to get it finished.
Its like Dead Space
This is like a 10/10 for me. Absolutely fantastic game, if you're a horror fan you should play this.
This is one of those games where the atmosphere alone almost makes the whole experience worthwhile. The combination of a dark, infected, industrial, post-apocalyptic Polish city, an alternate 1980s setting, and that fantastic retro-sounding soundtrack is just chef’s kiss, trust me. Everything looks and feels suitably grimy, mysterious and depressing in exactly the right way. Honestly, the atmosphere is probably my favorite thing about the entire game. I also really liked the story. It’s definitely not the easiest one to follow, and you’ll probably have a few “wait, what the hell is going on?” moments along the way, like I did, but if you actually pay attention to the details, you can piece most of it together. I especially liked that the protagonist remains almost as mysterious as the story itself for a surprisingly long time. There’s something really satisfying about slowly figuring out who you are and what exactly is happening around you. The monsters are pretty cool, although I definitely would have liked a bit more enemy variety. I was also not particularly fond of the decision to reuse some boss fights multiple times. Fighting the same boss again can be fun if there’s a good reason for it, but here it started feeling more like padding after a while (like in The Callisto Protocol). Gameplay-wise, it’s pretty obvious that Dead Space was a major inspiration, and I certainly don’t have a problem with that as it’s my favorite sci-fi horror game ever. Unfortunately, I do have a problem with how damn hard the combat can be. Even on the easiest difficulty, I found some encounters unnecessarily brutal. The enemies are fast, aggressive and relentless, while our protagonist moves like she’s carrying a refrigerator on her back (well, in a sense she does, I guess). And since there’s no proper dodge or parry mechanic, getting out of trouble can be incredibly difficult. Resources are another big issue. Ammo and supplies are extremely limited, so you constantly have to think about what you’re willing to spend. Add a tiny inventory to the mix and you’ll spend a lot of time deciding what to pick up, what to leave behind and what you might desperately need five minutes later. I understand that resource management is supposed to create tension, but here at times it felt more frustrating than scary. Thankfully, there’s some decent replay value here. There are plenty of collectibles to find, different difficulty settings and multiple endings, including one that requires a new game+ playthrough. So, if you really want to squeeze everything out of the game, there’s a reason to go back. Overall, I really enjoyed this, despite my issues with the combat. The atmosphere, setting and story are fantastic, and there’s clearly a lot of personality here. I’d definitely be interested in a sequel, because there’s a really interesting world to build on. I just hope the developers make the combat considerably smoother – or at least stop making me feel like I’m fighting an army of Olympic sprinters while controlling a tired pensioner, for God’s sake! 😄
Polishpunk Dead Space: Temporal Cat Collector
