Crime Boss: Rockay City is a 1-4 player co-op FPS heist game with enjoyable stealth and epic killing spree combat. Featuring a solo roguelike campaign that combines FPS and strategy elements with the most hilariously cheesy voice acting that make you laugh.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Sep 10 → 15.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

You buy this at a cheap sale price expecting low-quality, with the expectation of disliking it by the end. You end up enjoying it by the end, realizing despite the cheesy and corny dialogue, you find yourself needing to search for a reason to hate it. It's not perfect, but it's certainly not bad. It's a different flavour of Payday, with a little bit better gunplay (2), less customizable weapons, but it works. Heists are quite varied, the heisters are abundant and mostly forgettable but interesting enough to warrant the rogue-like mechanics of the standard mode for a splash of spice. Some mechanics are interesting and work, given its placed in isolation where warranted. (territory wars) The one dislike is really the corny dialogue, but that's less of a writer being imcomptent and more of a writer really meticulously inspired by the slap-stick gen-x media like SWAT or buddy-cop films of the 70s to 80s. Hilariously on brand from when Nicholas Cage was exceedly relevant unlike in todays times (excluding the recent news of his passing.) You will find yourself rolling your eyes though if you can get easily annoyed by it. Gameplay makes up for it a good chunk though. For 20 USD, not on sale, definitely recommend if you like the heisting genre and don't really care for Payday 3 or Payday 2. Or maybe Payday 2 is growing bland, while the studio around Payday 3 is in the rough patch at this moment. This'll satiate SOME of that hunger.
Richtig cooles Spiel. Have fun.
Really fun heisting game overall solo or with friends. However my main issues I've noticed with this game that should be taken care of right away would be. - Better performance for the game - Smarter Crew AI - Difficulty balance for new players via Roguelite, and Play/Higher reward bonus for veterans. - Fix issue where bots pick up weaker guns. - Fix the bug where only the bots can sometimes only be able to pick up bags - Fix E.T.B crash bug In conclusion. Can't wait to see how far the game goes.
Pre ordered Payday 3's Gold Edition, stuck with it for a while (still check it out) but it's just not able to keep enough content going for me to stay interested. Crime Boss, on the other hand, was a game I ended up refunding a couple times before finally getting it again in 2026. And I gotta say. This game rules now. I have been having some issues with performance, inconsistent frames when things get a little heated, but running the game through SpecialK seems to have resolved those issues with a few tweaks. Mod tools rule, super glad to see them added, community events have been solid, DLC is a little on the pricy side IMO but they go on sale pretty regularly. If you've wanted a Payday-like experience, but just haven't been enjoying 3, I think you'll dig crime boss. At least the loud gameplay. Stealth is a bit underbaked at the moment, but the newest heist "Auction House" is a huge step up, and I can't wait to see what else they drop in the future.
The Payday we have at home. Not a bad game by any means, but Payday 2 exists. I'd still recommend it over Payday 3, however I'd say go with Payday 2 instead of either of those.
RIP Michael Madsen and Chuck Norris
