Command: Modern Operations is the next generation in cross-domain modern wargaming. It enables you to simulate every military engagement from post World War II to the present day and beyond. The scale is primarily tactical/operational, although strategic scale operations are also possible.

Game consantly crashed when starting missons. It was simply unplayable on main and beta branch, only legacy worked. Tried several fixes and nothing helped.
Very complex game for any military enthusiasts planning to invest a huge amount of time in getting into the details of modern warefare. Be aware: Getting into the game and understand the HMI of C:MO takes some time!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tysm simulator, worth every cent, this game is so detailed and beautiful you can spend a lifetime learning it.
Command: Modern Operations is an incredibly realistic simulation that offers players an unprecedented level of depth and detail when it comes to modern warfare. As someone who has spent countless hours playing military simulations, I can confidently say that Command: Modern Operations is one of the best in its class. The game boasts an impressive level of realism, with highly detailed maps, accurate weapon and vehicle models, and authentic military procedures and protocols. Whether you're commanding a small infantry squad or a massive naval task force, every decision you make has real consequences, and you'll need to think strategically if you want to come out on top. One of the things that really sets Command: Modern Operations apart is its attention to detail. From the way that different terrain affects movement and combat, to the way that weather conditions can impact your operations, everything in the game is designed to be as true-to-life as possible. This level of realism really adds to the immersion, and makes the game feel more like a simulation than a mere video game. Overall, I highly recommend Command: Modern Operations to anyone who is looking for a realistic military simulation. Whether you're a hardcore strategy game enthusiast or just looking for a fun and challenging way to learn more about modern warfare, this game is sure to impress. With its stunning graphics, deep gameplay, and unparalleled level of realism, it's a game that you won't want to miss.

Crazy. There is no other word to describe the extreme lenghths the devs went to in this game. Wild, mad respect guys.
Although this is a game, I think it is more of a study on modern military conflicts with nearly every type of equipment out there. A typical gaming session for me is opening the game, studying the briefing, Googling military equipment and concepts besides looking them up in game, making some coffee for a break, and then coming back to actually start a scenario. Having played DCS (particularly modern jets), reading some Tom Clancy books, and understanding how modern conflicts are implemented helped me walk into this game with some understanding, but there is still a lot that requires me to study up on, which is why I find the game appealing and difficult to master. That is not a bad thing, as I don't expect to master it. That said, you don't need to have any experience understanding it as the in-game tutorials will help you understand some key concepts. I've spent a good number of hours playing the game so far, and I expect to play hundreds more with the numerous scenarios it comes with and also from DLCs. This game isn't for everyone, but for those who are looking to approach this game as a tool for understanding conflicts, playing them out, and even creating your own in a somewhat realistic modern conflict environment then this is for you. Definitely do your research on this game. Skim through the manual, watch some Youtube videos and don't be afraid to go into a deep dive on a subject that sparks your interest.
I've got 210 hours on this now, so figured I'd leave a quick review. I have trouble peeling myself away from this software. I'll probably be messing around with it for years. This isn't like anything else I've bought on Steam. You have to actually learn REAL STUFF, like how submarines hide under thermal layers, and how altitude affects the speed and fuel consumption of aircraft. The screen isn't filled with 3D rendered objects either, it's filled with 2D NATO symbols for aircraft, ground units, ships, etc, and then overlayed with tons of information like radar and weapon ranges, flight routes and waypoints, speeds, altitudes, distances and velocities. It isn't really a game. It's a simulator. But it comes with a bunch of scenarios you can play as games, and these turn into puzzles to solve. How do I accomplish this mission? Got it, OK, now how do I accomplish this missing without losing half my aircraft? I spend most of my time in this reading, thinking, planning, arranging, experimenting, saving my progress, running the simulator and then REALOADING (lol), trying something else, reading some more, and on and on. It's hard to say if YOU will like this because this game is so unique and probably only appeals to certain people. But to those people it appeals to, it is something amazing. Kudos to the devs on this one, very well done.
now I can plan an invasion of israel XD
