For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
🔰 Einstieg
💶 Preis
Ich habe „Children of Morta“ geschenkt bekommen.
💚 Fazit
„Children of Morta“ hat mich echt überrascht.
📝 In Aller Kürze

Emotionale Familiengeschichte ❤️
Abwechslungsreiche Charaktere ⚔️
Wunderschöne Pixel-Art 🎨
Atmosphärischer Soundtrack 🎵
Teilweise knackiger Schwierigkeitsgrad 💀
Motivierende Roguelite-Loop 🔁
Ruhige Momente zwischen dem Chaos 🏠
Indie-Perle mit viel Herz ✨

Die Rezension spiegelt meine ganz persönliche Meinung zu „Children of Morta“ wider.
At first, Children of Morta looks like a typical rogue-like with rpg elements. But it is far beyond that. What makes this game amazing is the way it tells you the story. You play as members of a family known as the Bergsons. Every time you complete a run, a new cutscene emerges and tells you about the story. The new family members come into play as you progress through the game with each having their own skills and abilities. I cannot really say much about the combat, it's kinda feels blank. But still, defeating enemy hordes feels fun. The game is actually designed to be played as coop, but I've managed to finish the main story in 18 hours completely solo. Beating dungeons and progressing levels felt really entertaining especially when I had a good run. The game lacks some overall content. There could be more skills or character customization but I think it still holds up well. There were some great moments in the story, especially when a new event affecting the whole family emerges or a new family member comes into play. All of the pixel art animations and cutscenes look fantastic and emotional many times. Overall, I think Children of Morta is a good rogue like with a GREAT story that keeps you in play. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a great story like that.
A Family Worth Fighting For
One of the finest examples of how roguelites can tell a truly heartfelt story. After completing every chapter and watching the Bergsons' journey unfold, Children of Morta proved that family can be just as compelling a weapon as any sword or spell. 9/10 Pros: + A Family Story with a Soul: Children of Morta proves that roguelites can tell deeply emotional stories. The Bergsons aren't just a roster of playable characters—they're a believable family, and every victory, loss, and quiet moment strengthens your connection to them. Combined with the narrator's warm, storybook delivery, the journey feels surprisingly intimate and unforgettable. + A World Rich in Beauty and Iranian Mythology: From its breathtaking pixel art and atmospheric soundtrack to its thoughtful use of Iranian mythology, Children of Morta builds a fantasy world that feels truly unique. Rather than treating mythology as decoration, it weaves its symbols, creatures, and inspirations naturally into the adventure, giving the game an identity that stands apart from traditional fantasy settings. Cons: - Repetition Eventually Creeps In: Like many roguelites, repeated dungeon runs can begin to feel predictable after long sessions. The variety of characters helps, but it doesn't completely eliminate the sense of repetition. - Not Every Bergson Gets Their Moment: While every member of the Bergson family is memorable, a few receive noticeably less narrative focus than others. Certain personal stories feel like they end just as they begin to become truly interesting. Final Thoughts: Children of Morta is far more than another roguelite—it's a heartfelt family story wrapped in beautiful pixel art and satisfying combat. It may stumble in a few areas, but its emotional core makes it an unforgettable experience. (A heartfelt roguelite that proves the strongest weapon isn't a sword—it's family.)
It's a fine game, but its not a great game. I think if the aesthetics and vibe of it appeal to you personally then it might take you from fine to good and beyond. Visually the game is interesting at first but as it goes on, really its just quite messy, its one of the downsides of having pixel art with such low pixel density. The combat is okay at first but ultimately I didn't find any of the classes to be fully enjoyable on their own, and the animation wind ups on many of hte attacks and spells often seem at odds with the pace of the enemy attacks (I did play on hard mode exclusvily). Then there is the online co-op, it works, and if you're on the same continent as your co-op partner maybe its frictionless, but even at 19ping it was impossible to dodge certain traps and telegraphed attacks. It needs some kind of rollback netcode. I've played a lot of roguelikes, its probably my favourite genre. But when there are so many incredible games to choose from in the genre, fine just isn't good enough for me, the game needs a little more sauce than it delivers.
