Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 2.6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This definitely has potential but it doesn't tap into all of it. For instances, The overcharge system is easy to cheese, maybe adding penalty skills raise the gauge along with lowering it so it balances the system out. The story is interesting, but the busts of the important characters not changing to match their emotion made it hard to connect to the characters. With their next game maybe changing character expressions can liven up their story and adding systems that counter-balance each other (if they decide to iterate the Overcharge system) can add some strategic variety.
88小时白金达成 刚开局有点无头苍蝇以外后期地图太绕其他都还行 结局泪目了

Chained Echoes is an enjoyable tribute to the JRPG's of the SNES era. The sprites are expressive and the cast of characters are memorable. I like the various environments that the game takes you through. The story is well thought out, even if the writing can be on the cringy side from time to time. The battle system and method of leveling your characters can be frustrating, but I will also fully acknowledge that the problems I had were a skill issue. There is no XP grinding in this game, your characters get stronger by gaining special points from beating bosses and filling an achievement-like reward board. You then use these points to unlock stat gains and skills from a menu. What makes the game all the more impressive is that it was basically made by a single person over a period of years. The campaign took me over 40 hours to complete, though I am not a completionist by any means. Getting every item, skill, and achievement would easily take another 20+ hours. This game gives you a great bang for your buck. I recommend it to anyone looking for a nostalgic JRPG experience.
The game has a slightly unique battle system. There’s a bar called the Overdrive System, where every action you take will move the needle up or down. As a player, you’re encouraged to think carefully about each move to keep the gauge in the middle green zone. It’s not too punishing if you go past the green bar during normal battles, but it can become very challenging during boss fights. It’s a unique and fresh system, though it might feel annoying for some players. There’s also no traditional level system here. Progression depends on equipment and skills. And honestly, skills are extremely important in this game. The combat difficulty can be quite tough, especially against certain bosses. To be honest, I almost always lost my first fight against every boss or unique monster. Aside from the somewhat unusual battle and progression systems (which can be either a positive or negative depending on the player), overall this is a good game. The story isn’t amazing, but it’s good enough to keep you interested and wanting to continue. That said, personally, I didn’t really like the ending. Just… why? In conclusion, I enjoyed this game. The story, battle system, music, art, everything is good. Not “wow, mind-blowing” amazing, but simply good. And honestly, that’s a good thing.
I am torn on recommending this title simply because while it has many good gameplay systems, everything else weakens the experience. Characters are alright but kind of forgettable/generic, the story is a bit all over the place especially in regards to pacing, and the graphical style of the map/exploring is very streamlined and boring. I think if you like JRPGs you can find fun here but as a whole I would say the experience of playing this game feels more bittersweet than fun the longer you play. I only got through Act 1 before I felt like it wasn't worth any more of my time but maybe some more diehard JRPG fans will enjoy it all the way through.
This had some serious potential, until act 3 that is, Gameplays wise its just fine, but the writing is some of the worst i have seen in a long time, not one character of the main party had any charisma, they all felt bland and boring, but at act 4 it just got so SO much worse and didnt stop till the end, which is maybe the worst, most undeserving ending i had ever seen in a rpg.
그냥 킬링타임용 게임
Meh. Neh. Didn't get it done for me.
at about 30 hours i JUST finished Act 1 and just unlocked the sky armors... like this game is pretty darn big! also there have been 3 huge events in the game. It's cool how the characters are all much more rational than your typical story, but in it's place is an environment rife with social disasters and silly technological asymmetries. Don't look too deep and the story and world are super neat! Lastly, the gameplay is good enough that I don't mind the battles. It's also easy to avoid battles. The overheat gauge is a very simple way to maintain engagement, even if it doesn't allow for much creative problem solving. The game is easy enough that I can roleplay a little with the attacks I use; it's not so tight/challenging that I need to be perfectly optimal. However, I do need to be careful and I've game over'd a couple times. The upgrade, materials, and crystals system is a mess, but it's good enough that I feel good giving my characters additional abilities. There are too many materials to meaningful search for specific ones. There are too many crystal types to meaningfully search for or hold out a boost for specific ones and the fact that 3 slot crystals are useless and 2 slot ones are crummy, and the wild variability of the randomness of the crystals, means you don't have much choice. I don't want to have SOS mnd up on a character, but that's what the crystals gave me 1-slots on :x I generally don't like elemental systems, but at least this one shows it clearly when selecting enemies and the characters have a good spread of different elements. Overall I think the creators did a great job and it's completely worth the money! More than Octopath Traveler, which i found sorta boring.
