The very definition of a hidden gem. The combat was great, the esoteric story beats were intriguing, this game delivered beyond my expectations. Also, it ran flawlessly on steam deck. That was a blast.
missile command but with schmovement. also yoko taro is there
I think BURGGEIST is a great game and for this price it's a steal.

"Full Controller Support" and "The developers recommend playing this game with a controller" yet the dpad just doesnt work. -vsync also doesnt work -controls are just bad and clunky in general
Very interesting game, wonderfully strange setting and characters. Fundamentally its about defending one tower by commanding around a smaller tower and sometimes divebombing enemies from a hundred feet in the air
This is sick, great open world design along with a really unique live RTS style gameplay. There's nothing quite like it which is super high praise
I seriously can't put into words how much I enjoyed this game, so just imagine I'm holding a huge diamond and saying "It's peak."
I need to confess that I am bad at this game. I've bounced off of it twice before, but bear with me! When you begin, it it very mechanically clunky & obtuse, BUT! It does have a Story mode, which I am extremely grateful for. By the end of the game, I was doing moves like in the trailers & it feels AMAZING! Moving with that kind of speed & switching mid-air through your abilities feels like magic. I promise that you can get it & I promise this game is WORTHY of your patience. But I have nothing but praise for the rest of it. The soundtrack is so evocative, a perfect blend that makes the game FEEL nostalgic despite being relatively new. If you are a fan of Vagrant Story, or Nier/Drakengard, you'll feel like this is a ps2 hidden gem you missed from your childhood. It's truly magical in that way. The character models are intentionally wonky & the cutscenes remind me of the uncanniness of Silent Hill 2 scenes--I mean that in the BEST possible way. The environments are REALLY fun to just run wild & explore every inch, everything feels intentional & requires you to use each biome in different ways for your towers. The VA is great, the world has it's own language!!! The world-building for this game is the hook that got me & it was so worth it. I absolutely adored this game, I can't recommend it enough. It is a piece of art that I am grateful to be alive for. I'm beyond grateful to the devs for making something so delightfully weird, intentionally obtuse & frankly a love letter to jpgs of past generations without the crutch of intentional references. I hope more people will give it a chance & the devs make many more games in the future!
jeux étrange et novateur. Un peu difficile a prendre en main initialement mais extrêmement riche avec un univers passionant
I loved the concept but had severe framerate issues that sadly made the game unplayable for me; Planning to possibly grab it again in the future when I finally manage to find a reasonable fix for them as everything I seen of the game is right up my alley
