Me agrado y me sorprendio el cambio brutal de la primera a esta segunda entrega. Hasta tiene un Doctor Simi!
As a fan of the first Broken Reality, this sequel did not disappoint! This a definite "must play" for those who like exploration-heavy adventure games as you really have to think about the tools you have and what they do. There is a lot of collecting and backtracking, but nothing that feels like the game doesn't respect your time. There is a bit of jank plus some bugs, but the dev(s) have been updating the game after launch. I played after a few fixes were implemented and it's been pretty smooth sailing without any game breaking bugs appearing. (For reference, my tolerance for bugs/jank is at a "so long as I can still play the game; don't care about 100%-ing" level.) Some negative reviews have some valid points depending on how "puzzle-y" you like your adventure games and what type of mental challenges you like. Most of the challenges come from figuring out how to get places or figuring out how to do something (more like a Chibi-Robo than a Myst); it is definitely a "walking sim" first and foremost. What really made me a fan of the first Broken Reality were the references to Mexican culture (in and out of the Internet) and this new entry continues that. It still has that "if you know, you know" vibe to it though not as heavy as before; however, it may just be me and my memory of the first game. All in all, I recommend this game for anyone that wants to chill out with an indie game a shot and likes adventure games of ye olden times (late 90s/early 2000s). Will wait patiently for the VR version~

Loved this and the first one. You can prefer the original all you want but doesn't deserve a negative cause of that. I hope another one gets made.
Amazing game. Music and visuals are probably the best
A great sequel. Fun world and fun to play. Didn't get lost as much as i thought i would. Full of irony and internet humor. Come on, there are anti homeless benches with the armrest in the middle, with SPIKES. It's so funny but so sad. Ahead are SPOILERS. I just wanna give my thoughts on the story. No lore, just what i think the message is. A lot of people in the reviews are saying they don't understand the story or the message, and some say it's just something you feel. Short version: The most "i get it" and understanding way to tell you to touch grass. long version: I think you do play as a man, cus lore, so will use "he" here. I'm not good with words, but i feel a lot of emotions. I try my best. You play as a "loser" pretty much, who never leaves his room, who's always in his fictional world. Seems to be the internet loser guy stereotype as well, you know the katana and fedora type. Doesn't even have time or motivation to clean his room, sleeps on a dirty mattress. Very attached to a girl who isn't real, or maybe is a recreation of an ex he simply cannot move on from. Collects figurines and posters of this girl, even sleeps with a lewd bodypillow. He just can't get out of this world. He eventually learns to let go, deletes his account, goes outside to experience something real. The internet is an escape, you can also meet cool people there, but you can't get too sucked into it. A fictional character can be very special to you, but you have to know how to seperate that from real connections. Stories and community help us find ourselves. Talk to people, watch a movie with a moving story. I struggle to go out, but i try. These days the internet has a metal grip on us, but we have to wake up and live life. We are too obsessed. Sometimes i am so scared of reality. The real world is a struggle, it's harsh, it's unfair, but it's beautiful and real. The internet can also be wonderful. You have to find this balance. After playing some video games, browsing for a while, or chatting with your online community. Go outside. Breathe the air, go to a beach, listen to the waves. Maybe sit in town and peope watch, think about how different everyone's lives are. The internet is big, but earth is bigger. Balance is the key. "you have to find your own happiness" "i will always be with you"
Very good game if you look past the hard bits. Finished the game.
It’s hard to explain my impressions of this game. But it’s a good complicated. Let me tell you why. This game feels like a commentary on a time I lived through. I’m a millennial. I experienced this period in my youth. I remember having Windows ME. I used Winamp for music. I had just bought a Sega Dreamcast. This game brings back memories of everything, but more than anything, it makes me think about how I used to feel about those things. I could explore worlds with a lot of character, and that was exciting. Back then, systems had limitations. This forced developers to be unique and creative. Now, it feels like many games use the same assets. They use the same engine. The engine does most of the work. That’s why I like what Broken Reality is doing. Everywhere you look, there’s something interesting. It’s funny or ironic. It’s wrapped in social commentary. I think that’s artistic. There’s substance here. The game surprises you. It makes many references, and it seems to have an underlying conspiracy theory that I find quite interesting to follow. The art direction is its most identifying feature. It references everything I mentioned and strongly connects to its narrative concept. You’ll want to look everywhere. Gameplay wise it’s simple, and I find it relaxing to be honest. I like the exploration for the reasons I stated above, and I like the mini-games I’ve played so far, they have a good use for the different items you carry. The music is fantastic! I’m actually quite surprised by the variety of tracks within the same level depending on where you are or who you are talking to. They have this late 90s dance nostalgia. Sound design reminds me of the Dreamcast and older Windows operating systems, which fits the overall style. I still have most of the game to play through, and I will update my review when I reach the ending. But so far, I’m excited to discover what this story is all about, especially after seeing the first sign of a bigger mystery.
Fun game, though a couple puzzles involve a little too much "looking for dot on screen"; still a relatively unique walking sim./light puzzler/platformer with interesting environments If you liked the first game, you'll probably like this
Quirky funni satirical commentary of the internet. It's not a stressful game in any way so it's easy to enjoy after a hard day.
