This game is quite good. It looks amazing, featuring an early 00's 3D style with lots of detail. Some of the games later worlds are truly beautiful. The music is also solid throughout, with many varied styles that perfectly set the vibe as you progress through the game's worlds. The gameplay is interesting, but doesn't have much friction. The games puzzles are never too difficult, and I never struggled progressing through the game. This enhances the games hangout feel, but may underwhelm players looking for deep, challenging mechanics. The game's storytelling is subdued, centered around the exploration of NATEM's mysterious past. You only get hints and suggestions at the game's true nature, giving you something to mull over as you complete the game's challenges.
The game left me pondering the death of the technological worlds we inhabit, and if it is better to move on to a new future or insist on the old ways of cyber-life.
I experienced several bugs throughout the game, but the devs seem responsive to feedback and I'm sure the game will improve with time.
Just started to enjoy this beautiful world, Y2K summer vibes are so cool and soothing, this is definitely something special. Game is polished and works great with a controller.

I needed to play this game after I played the first one, because I loved the first iteration so much. The second game I didn't like as much as the first. I think it was less polished. The aesthetic wasn't as strong, in my opinion. I think the areas were interesting, having a mall or movie theatre, but the museum really stood out in a great way. Some of the puzzles were not as well thought out, and there were times where I didn't understand where to go because of a lack of game clarity, or things just felt more clunky to solve. I also think that it had more bugs, just sometimes getting stuck on things, items respawning, I had to redo the entire Cloud area because of a crash. Regardless I do think the game is good, but if I were to play one out of the two Broken Reality series, I would choose the first one. Overall, not as polished, but still a really enjoyable game. Also there was a snail. (Very achievement friendly as well.)
Like the first one but +2000 likes
Lowk better than the first game
Good follow up to the original, though it doesn't surpass that game for me. I dunno what it is, but Broken Reality 2000 didn't make as much of an impression on me overall. While I liked playing through the game just fine, there weren't too many big surprises. Some areas like the jungle and mines weren't too fun to go through and felt like missed potential. The new tools are welcome additions, especially the hoverboard. The world is still very nice to look at, the Nexus and final area especially. Being more of the same is a double edged sword here. Still a worthwhile experience, but it's still kinda buggy. So probably hold off for a bit.
I bought this game on release day because I was loved the first one. There were a couple of major bugs, but within a few days the developers fixed them so the game was completely playable. I yearn for more games like this. The nostalgic feeling I get from this art style is unmatched. I can't wait for Broken Reality 3D.
great game, definitely play the first one too if you haven't
2000/2000 would break my reality again
