Not as good as the first game but if you like Vaporwave vibes then you'll like this game anyways. Main issue is that the story felt unfinished and most of the time you don't know what your purpose is in the game. The ending felt a bit lackluster and left many loose ends. The game can also be a bit janky, as you'll often find yourself stuck due to the lack of ability to jump, or accidentally solve a puzzle or reach a place the unintended way. Even with these flaws, I still recommend this game if you like Vaporwave. The music is excellent, and the devs are constantly updating it with fixes. Play the first game first if you haven't.
"Mid, Mid, Mid. Skip, Skip, Skip." - Poopypants Drake I enjoyed the first game but the craziness of this game was very unfortunate to see. The introduction of the new and old tools from the game was very nice to see. I also loved the scenery and aesthetic, the story was ok but did get hard to follow towards the end. My main issue lies mostly with the gameplay. The puzzles felt like they lack context in many areas and there were late introductions to new mechanics, especially towards the end. There were grammar errors in a few text too as well, but those are more easy to get by. I was looking forward to this addition, but my disappointment is immeasurable.

This is a game I so badly wish I can give an average review for, neither fully positive nor negative. I played the first game back in 2024, loved it, had some issues with backtracking but everything else was very fun. This one, I feel like the backtracking problem was even worse, and the camera photo sections giving likes led to ending up not focusing on the game itself and just making sure I scan everything for the correct photo spot. The story, I think, was much less... prominent? There? I got the ending without the medallions and was interested in the ERROR character but she didn't seem to say a single thing, and the 'True' ending didn't really say anything at all either. There was very little character interaction compared to the first game.. As it is, I think the music is awesome, the environment design is wonderful and a facet of a time online that I'm personally deeply nostalgic for. I had a great time with the overall game, I just feel like it's lacking in a lot of areas that I would rather have seen more fleshed out.
too many bug and stuck points, too slow without hoverboard, and total visual is ugly as hell. its very anable to play smoothly. Beside that, the developer has super weird taste in game leveling design and storytelling. it almost makes me vomit
Uno de los juegos mas grandes que he visto hecho en Mexico, una joyita igual que el primero.
Going to be that cliche - I wish there was a mixed option in steam reviews because that's how I feel here. The game has a very set order of actions yet wants to give no objective markers so it's kind of a scavenger hunt to find the next NPC that progresses your game. The aesthetic; what most would consider the 'gimmick' if these games strays a bit too far for my liking personally. I think this will mostly come down to person taste though. Overall... meh? I don't think I'd be going out of my way to recommend this game but if someone asked me about it I wouldn't steer them away
As a returning Broken Reality player, this game has been a wonderful experience. I played the first game in it's entirety MULTIPLE times and this sequel to the first has been amazing so far. I love all the references and returning characters as well as updated MEMEs that reference the current time period as well! It is a good taste of something old into something new and I can't wait for it to just get better even through the silly glitches and bugs. The only problems I do have with the game is the painfully slow walking or the extremely fast surfing, but I've gotten around that by spam clicking on the surfboard to go a nice pace. The hyperlinker is a bit slow to zoom where you want to be, but I am so glad that it was more accessible than the last version where you had to quickly click to the next point. But overall, this game is a fun trip especially after the first (which left me with such a big space in my heart to now welcome BR2000.) Thank you Dev team for such a lovely set of games. And I am totally not biased for the theming of the plot (I was born on the millennium / new years 2000 <3)
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really, REALLY liked the first game and have been waiting for ages for this sequel to come out. For the first 6 and a half hours or so I was really into it on vibes alone. However, after that it kind of clicks that I was never really having fun. I was really just searching for whatever made the first game so special. Ultimately, everything just kind of ends up feeling like i'm doing things just to do them. Not to explore the undiscovered or anything of that nature. I just found myself playing because I bought it, rather than out of enjoyment. I also found the weird hybrid of this Y2K era internet with modern references(such as NFTs and blockchains) confusing as it didn't really make it feel like I was in either era. I really REALLY wanted to like this but I can't recommend this. Especially not after the original.
I love it, very relaxing, gives me nostalgia somehow. also vibes, love them vibes.
