This is a game I so badly wish I can give an average review for, neither fully positive nor negative. I played the first game back in 2024, loved it, had some issues with backtracking but everything else was very fun. This one, I feel like the backtracking problem was even worse, and the camera photo sections giving likes led to ending up not focusing on the game itself and just making sure I scan everything for the correct photo spot. The story, I think, was much less... prominent? There? I got the ending without the medallions and was interested in the ERROR character but she didn't seem to say a single thing, and the 'True' ending didn't really say anything at all either. There was very little character interaction compared to the first game.. As it is, I think the music is awesome, the environment design is wonderful and a facet of a time online that I'm personally deeply nostalgic for. I had a great time with the overall game, I just feel like it's lacking in a lot of areas that I would rather have seen more fleshed out.

"Mid, Mid, Mid. Skip, Skip, Skip." - Poopypants Drake I enjoyed the first game but the craziness of this game was very unfortunate to see. The introduction of the new and old tools from the game was very nice to see. I also loved the scenery and aesthetic, the story was ok but did get hard to follow towards the end. My main issue lies mostly with the gameplay. The puzzles felt like they lack context in many areas and there were late introductions to new mechanics, especially towards the end. There were grammar errors in a few text too as well, but those are more easy to get by. I was looking forward to this addition, but my disappointment is immeasurable.
i got the first game when i was like 14 and it was my favorite game for months afterwards.. definitely feeling the same way about this one. i loved all the new gameplay additions like the bow and the hacker/mask guys and i REALLY loved the utopian scholastic type museum part.. so cute.. LOVE this game it was worth waiting however many years lol
This is a tough one for me. I loved the first game and it's immaculate vibes, but this just doesn't hit the same highs that the first one did. Don't get me wrong, I had fun and I think people should play this, but it definitely has problems. First, and this is just a personal preference, I don't think that this game's vibes are as immaculate as the first one. The vibes are definitely there but nothing comes close to something like Geocity from the first game. Second, this game is very buggy (at least as of right now). Third, the walk speed is SO SLOW, especially for how big some of these areas are. The fact that there's no run button is insane to me. Getting the hoverboard was an absolute lifesaver; I personally think that the player should get access to it earlier. Finally, this whole game feels almost directionless until the end. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't really get what the player was trying to achieve the whole time. There were some threads here and there but most of them were loose and some of them didn't lead anywhere at all. In conclusion, it's a good game but it needs some serious fine tuning.
I wanted to enjoy the game but the game often freezes during npc dialogue which is necessary to progress in the game. Normally it'd be fine but since there is no autosave. Most of the time Im stuck retracing my efforts by a couple hours this has happened to me at least 4 times at this point. The feeling of each world is incredibly unique and the soundtrack is great but the game is way too rough right now to recommend
Overall: Loved the first one and love this one as well. Highly recommended to enjoyers of walking simulators with retro internet vibes. Technical: Game works perfect on Linux without any finagling. I never ran into any game-ruining bugs. Gameplay: All good and fun, with my only feedback being: some actions felt a little sluggish, like the camera lerping that happens when you interact with NPCs with textboxes. The default walking speed could be increased just a small amount, which doesn't matter when you get the surfboard, but it takes a while to get to that point. More shortcuts could be added to the Crypt for sure, for backtracking to look for hidden items. Having to redo puzzles in that area to explore, I could do without. Sound: Very good sound design. I think I like the soundtrack to the first game more, but this one has a solid soundtrack as well. Graphics: Loved the visuals!
good 2000
Obsessed. Awesome graphics, fun quests, lots to explore, great puzzles. Highly highly recommend to those who like stylized games, y2k, retro, etcetera.
Don't really get the complaints. It's basically more of the first game, which is exactly what I wanted. I'm not here for the "story"...I'm here for the vibes, the atmosphere, and the chill walking-simulator experience. So far, my only complaint is that the soundtrack hasn't hit as hard as the first game's. Other than that, I've been enjoying it.
A quite good game, bit of a weaker ending than the prior Broken Reality but not dissatisfying. A nice and wonderful time in a new variant of the world.
