Fun, love the style and gameplay
An incredibly fun Rhythm Shooter with every roguelike trapping from The Binding of Isaac (Treasure rooms, shops, casinos, keys and chests, you know the deal) The soundtrack is awesome and the gameplay is good enough to still recommend it, but holy crap is the art direction of this game a baffling, awful choice. The monochrome super saturation grates more as you play it. If the trailers' aesthetic turn you off, it won't get any better in-game.

Despite not being perfect, I will always keep coming back to this game for just being simple fun. The music is great and because of my love for rythm games this just hits the spot so well. The roguelike element is executed reasonably well where most of my runs will be vastly different. Did not regret the purchase and it's an excellent game to play when you just feel like it.
I'm a rhythm game pro, and I have played everything from DDR to miku's colorful stage, dj max respect, to even the crazy arcade cabinets in Japan. I was excited at the concept of this game, but the execution is really bad. The graphics and overly red environment gives me a headache quickly. The combat itself is just was too fast to be able to make any kind of strategy. There is no explanation of any of the game mechanics, and I still barely have a tiny grasp on what I'm supposed to be doing. The biggest sin of all is not including an option to adjust the beat to match your sound setup, finger speed, or just to make it more comfortable. If you happen to use a framerate the game doesn't like, then the beat is off, or if you use the wrong headphones, or if you have a wireless keyboard/controller, and there is no way to adjust, so it becomes entirely unplayable.
amazing concept and unlimited potential, yet the game is BUNS setting is horrible, color grading is eye-gouging and the most important part of the game - music - SUCKS! idk why would anybody think that this corny metal music with flat drum lime would even fit to such game concept. im really disappointed and would like this game to be so much different
game is trash, thankgod I bought this trash cheap from a key site.
When it works it is magical, but it doesn't always work. It doesn't work if you are off the beat. If you have troubles finding the beat. If you can't feel the rhythm. So, decent sound is a must. It doesn't work if you get the wrong modifier on your game. Ice Skating and "No treasure" make a hard concept nearly impossible. It doesn't work if you go full hard from the get go. The time mechanic will leave you stranded while you die in two hits. And, finally, it doesn't work if you do too well. If you find Unlimited Ammo shield and Double-Fire. Auto-Aim hat and stat maxing stuff. Tumble boots. When you pair some equipment together it undermines the core game mechanics. By the end of my run on hard I would step into a room, strafe and hold down fire on my chain gun. Not even the final boss could survive. The scaling for this is quite sudden, and when one of these miracle runs comes together it stops being a fun rhythm game and turns into cheat-code Doom. My unsolicited advice for the developers would be to remove any items that break core game mechanics (no reloading means cutting out half the rhythm elements, no aiming required removes FPS elements). Beyond that I've had a bunch of fun with this game! I recommend for those magical moments when you rise to the challenge and it all clicks.
This game is INCREDIBLY FUN AND SATISFYING! From the characters, to the weapons, to the items, everything. And of course, the BEATS! The music in this game is GREAT! Now, the only thing I dislike, is the final achievement (Graslu - The First), I usually give up on really hard achievements, but for some damn reason, I PERSISTED! And finally, I Overcame. Probably spent like 25 Hours JUST on that achievement. Super Worth It Though. Actually Tuffington! 10/10 🏇
BPM is always so incredibly fun to play. It doesn't ask me to come back every week for the newest rewards, and it will never fade into my steam inventory, never to be played again. BPM is always just there, waiting patiently for when I want an hour (or many) of fun and have the itch to shoot to a beat. They added a custom music option but to be honest I don't even use it! The soundtrack is awesome and perfectly suits the game, I don't think I could replace it with anything else. This game is HARD (if you want it to be) and rewards you for taking big risks. I've been playing this off and on for years, trying something new every time, and I still haven't found everything. This game feels so just perfect for what it is. It knows what it wants to be and executes it flawlessly. Also can we talk about how nice it is to finally have a roguelike where the item descriptions ACTUALLY properly describe what the item does???? And it does it with such elegance, not having to resort to a literal description with numbers and percentages. I can look at any item here and intuitively understand what it does, how it does it, and if it'll work for my current build. It encourages me to actually seek out and try new items and abilities and change up my play style! That is a feat of game design in this genre. This game deserves more fans, there is really nothing quite like it. Out of all of the rhythm games I've played, this is the one I keep coming back to.
