Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 56.83/day in the week to Jul 17 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was initially troubled by the UI. That improved a lot after changing some key bindings and relying more on keyboard instead of mouse. Manually cataloguing everything also became tedious after a while, which was resolved after I wrote some scripts to search through the game files. There were times when I stared at the Tree for hours and still couldn't decide what to do with all my Skills - that also got better as I progressed and learned more about the skills. What didn't get better, however, was my frustration with the text. On one hand, the game advises you to read *everything* - and to be fair, it does reward the player when they pay attention to the text. But it seems that not everything is supposed to be taken seriously. There are lots of stuff that are just "flavour text" and lead to nowhere (no pun intended). At times, I feel like the text is lying to my face. I'm talking about
Ashartine being described as an 'Ink of Revelation' but cannot be crafted using the skill Inks of Revelation. I mean, the skill can craft so many inks that don't even share its principles. WHY NOT ASHARTINE, AN INK OF REVELATION???? And don't tell me this is okay because Inks of Revelation crafts the precursor of Ashartine. It's not unique in this respect. So many other skills can do the same thing.
And more generally,
why are the Inks skills so bad at crafting their own inks? What's the point of calling them Inks of XYZ when there are better skills to craft inks of xyz?
I'm also talking about
descriptions of food items and cooking-related skills in the base game. I don't understand why aspects such as Raw have to be present in the base game when they are only applicable to the House of Light DLC. Are base game players expected to do a full research on the DLC before starting the game? I don't want to be bothered by the DLC at the moment, and I don't want hints that could be easily misunderstood without the needed context (for example, how am I supposed to know that the helpers cannot be categorised as 'guests' - I literally treat them as guests by giving them food and drink and discussing Regrets and Ditties with them). The same issue with the Spicing skill. I thought I obtained something special and was looking forward to using it somewhere. It was a huge disappointment when I learned it's for the DLC.
So, while I don't regret the time spent on this game, I have to say that it genuinely bothers me sometimes. You can always say such and such are intended and I'm just not the target player. Well, from my perspective, they just feel like bad design.

Great game. More enjoyable than the first (Cultist Simulator), according to fellow players.

9/10 play this if you want to feel like you're growing extra heads irl
I don't know why, but it's nice :)
Holy mackerel, what a great game. In the core it's actually a puzzler, wrapped in a LOT of narrative. So much reading, and almost understanding, and figuring out how everything fits together - and then you discover there is yet another layer, even more intricate and complex. So well done. Half of the people here recommends playing without any guide, the other half has a Wiki open all the time. I think everyone has to make notes of some kind, which ranges from plain searchable text to wildly overengineered spreadsheets. I think all of these ways are valid playstyles. There is indeed joy in finding out things for yourself. There are also things you probably will not find out by yourself, especially in the beginning, when you're still learning how to think. I'm one of those people who tried it, didn't get it, refunded and then it sung in my head for over a year. This second time I'm beyond hooked. You might as well give it a try, use a wiki if you're completely stumped, and refund if the very specific way of thinking this game demands is not your idea of fun.
