Solo Leagues/Endless Leagues are completely broken (for me). Constantly fails to finish matches properly and award SPP. Seems like a server-side issue, which for single-player modes is immensely dumb. Hopefully Cyanide does a better job with their next title (Ignoring the atrocity that is Blood Bowl 3). Big not recommend from me for anyone looking for a decent single-player campaign. Try Chaos Edition instead :P

Will start this off by saying that the game is overall fun if you already have multiple friends that play it and do tournaments and stuff, or if you like the board game version then you'll probably enjoy this, but I personally will never recommend anybody get this game. The general idea and gameplay loop is fun but my one and biggest complaint is that just about every single action you make is a dice roll. Your dodge, attack, picking up the ball (yes, picking it up off the ground), passing the ball, or even taking a few extra steps while moving all require dice rolls. On the surface the dice roll mechanic seems fine but the big problem is every single dice roll has a chance of just completely ending your turn. If you try to pick up the ball but fail, your turn ends right then and there. If the opponent takes their entire turn just smacking the hell out of your players and your very first action is an attack that fails, your turn is over and your opponent takes another turn (and yes that happens). Having turn ending dice in a game is undeniably just a bad idea and even if you're hell bent on having a dice roll end your entire turn, making EVERY dice roll in your game have a chance of just ending your turn is just horrible game design. I will never tell anyone to spend money on this game. TLDR: Game is fun if you already have friends playing it but it consists of a lot of dice rolls with every roll having a chance of just ending your entire turn, even before you really get to take your turn, which is just a stupid game design.
That game is great ngl. But they seems to have intentionnaly broke it so you buy BB3... Just started played BB2 again AFTER buying BB3 because i liked the 2nd better. But you can't finish a competition on Eternal League, the server won't acknowledge and you have to start over and over again "Eternaly". I didnt found anything that worked around it. It IS really frustrating. Cyanide/Slitherine, do something! For now I sugest YOU, future buyer, to past your way on BB2 AND BB3. IF and I said IF they do something about it, I'll change my comment. But from what I've seen, trying to fix it on my side, it's a known glitch/bug and they don't seems to care about there fan base. Money isn't everything, we've seen great game studios going bankrupt in the last few year. I hope you guys keep that in mind. WE are the one that make you live. I didn't buy the horse armor in Oblivion. I didn't kill Harambe. I didn't vote for Trump and that squirel they put down with the SWAT Team seemed friendly to me. Is that worth anything anymore in todays society ffs ??? xD ***Edit: They fixed it the next day, y'all can thanks me later. I'm glad I could help! xD. I'm still gonna leave the rest of the review there... just a warning reminder for those concerned ;)
Honestly I wish i could whole heartedly recommend this game. But in recent years the support for this game completely disappeared. BB3 is almost identical. Just another cash grab without meaningful improvements. I love this concept, and I if you love the Warhammer universe and don't mind some swingy dice rolling you would love this too.
Fun game, bloody humor, and good strategy!
Remains the better option over Blood Bowl 3 for now it looks like. Lots of bad reviews from salty players like all games with a heavy amount of RNG and dicerolls. Especially when you can lose the game based on unlucky RNG. That type of game not being for you doesn't make it a bad game. The game is a pretty good adaption of the tabletop game. Easy to learn, harder to master. American Football with Warhammer fantasy races. Expensive with all the teams but you could pick and choose, or wait for a sale.
Sports with extra violence is always a fun video game concept (Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball, Speedball, Mutant Football League, etc). This one operates by tactical strategy rather than real-time action. It's both satisfying to learn the basics and improve your skills if you have the patience. I think I stopped when I reached a team in the campaign beyond my skills. I never pushed through to the next win or started over. I had a great time while it lasted though.
This game is alive and it hates people. All of its mechanics work and they don't care that you exist. If you like fantasy football and hate yourself then this game may be for you.
