Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG rooted in Chinese mythology. You shall set out as the Destined One to venture into the challenges and marvels ahead, to uncover the obscured truth beneath the veil of a glorious legend from the past.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Combat just isn't fun. There is no block or parry, only dodge. The dodge window is small, and enemy attack animations give zero intuitive information about dodge timing. Against normal enemies you're just hitting dodge randomly and mashing attacks between, trying to DPS them down quickly because defense is not reliable. Against bosses you're forced to learn the unintuitive dodge timing via extreme trial-and-error, even by souls-like standards. There is some sastisfaction is learning to beat a boss, but it's not enough to make up for the poor non-boss combat experience.

Overall i think its a great game and i think there's a general consensus that it pretty much deserves a GOTY. Here are some critiques of mine: 1. Some of the bosses in this game have absolutely broken hitboxes. Some examples are the dragon in chapter 3, duskveil, the giant shingdang in chapter 6 etc. Sometimes the hitboxes are just poorly designed and sometimes the boss battle environment gets in the way of the boss' hitboxes (happens with the big ones a lot like giant shingdang) 2. Chapter 4's story was building well and i was expecting a good payoff at the end but then it kinda goes nowhere and all of a sudden they introduce a new big bad (hundred-eyed) without giving any context as to what role he plays in the story earlier. Still decent story though just felt like chapter 4 was progressing really well and then it kinda went nowhere in the end. For example, chapter 5 doesn't make this mistake, has a really well written story that goes full circle that builds each character from the start. Best chapter of the game is def chapter 5. 3. More on the hitboxes, one particular scenario i noticed was that if a boss' legs are in the air, you cannot hit them but the asset is such that you cannot move near them by occupying the space underneath the leg as well because there is an invisible wall that will prevent your movement. 4. Few bosses have undodgeble gimmick attacks as well which can be fun only if there is a gimmick for the player as well. But if you just have a gimmick boss but then tell the player to just play out the fight will all the usual tools at their disposal. its NOT FUN. So yeah, overall great game, definitely worth pouring 60-70 hours into it, deserved GOTY contender and looking forward to zhong kui :)
