BioShock is a shooter unlike any you've ever played, loaded with weapons and tactics never seen. You'll have a complete arsenal at your disposal from simple revolvers to grenade launchers and chemical throwers, but you'll also be forced to genetically modify your DNA to create an even more deadly weapon: you.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 21 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
When I first played this game long ago, I had no idea it would become one of my all time favorites. I had never really been itching to get back home to play a video game since I was a kid, but Bioshock changed that. I felt so drawn in by the writing and atmosphere that I couldn't get enough, and I'm still chasing after the feeling this game gave me after playing it for the first time. Would you kindly stop reading and buy it already!?

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Bioshock is a good story-driven shooter game. the mechanics is a bit clunky and you do need to do a bit of tweaking so the game can work properly. but when you pass that stage, you can enjoy how the game drives you from a nobody, which isn't familiar with any of your surrounding, turn into a force everyone fear. And it delivers that turning stage better that FC3 imo. With twists and surprise in every corner of the storyline, this might be the best story-driven shooter game I've ever played.
Great as ever just be warned of stability issues if you try to play it today
It´s actually pretty mid. The game is more annoying than anything. The whole gameplay felt like a chore. Story is mid, guns feel awful, and the whistling of the flying bots is the most ragebaiting sound I have ever heard in a game. The ending is super underwhelming and is absolutely not worth it.
me encanto pero siento que le falto algo pero la neta estuvo bien ahora seguir el bioshock 2, pero le doy su 8/10 toca jugar su remake que lo tengo comprado pero ya habia empezado con este por eso no me cambie pero me gusto mucho
Very fun so far, the atmosphere and just how f*cked up the people/world is instills a very good sense of dread. Admittedly, it did take until about a third through the Medical Ward for that dread to kick in for me, but that might be because this is my first ever fps game, let alone first horror game I've played where I'm given a gun. Despite that, this game is very fun and difficult, while being just do-able enough to barely scrape by (the sweet spot for horror games like this). I like how there really isn't any real penalty for dying, you simply respawn with half health at your last vitachamber and move on. The enemies' health doesn't even reset! This is a plus for me, since I haven't really played any fps games before, and kinda suck at it. This way I can just keep crawling back to the Big Daddy I was fighting over and over again until it finally dies. Yes, I know this can be a downside for some, but for me it doesn't take away the stress and tension of combat, nor the environment around me. It simply gives me an out (not an EASY out, but an out regardless) if I end up trapped in an area unprepared. Legitimately, this was the only way that I beat the first Big Daddy (JUST the first, mind you, I was NOT prepared). One pretty big downside to this game though is that the mouse movement is all kinds of f*cked up. It basically assumes you're using a controller and locks menu/UI mouse movement to one cardinal direction at a time, and enforces a fairly large deadzone where if you're not actively moving your mouse QUICKLY, your cursor won't move AT ALL. I found a user-made patch/script to fix it, but I still have to reset and fiddle around with the sensitivity values to make the game even remotely playable. I'm not talking a little bit too slow/fast either. If I just enter the game without editing the sensitivity in the game files, my mouse-view will be so slow that I have to drag my mouse across my entire desk at least twice before my character finally turns to look to his left. There are ways to fix this, but you should really make sure to research how other people fixed this, and not for Remastered either, but the original SPECIFICALLY. The remaster does things differently apparently. But once you've set up the mouse fixes, it's a fantastic experience. Well worth the headache of setting up every time you want to sit down and play. (Yes, exiting the game resets the mouse sensitivity issue) Come to think of it, I think the sensitivity issue only happens with an external mouse. If you're using a controller or a built-in trackpad, you should be just fine.
ótimo jogo de fato. uma experiencia nastaugica e interessante. receio que de ruim possa-se citar a inexistência de esquivas de tiros e afins, porem não é algo que afeta a gameplay em demasia. história confusa. recomendo.
I was able to complete this game without getting stuck and having to search the internet to figure out how to proceed. this is a very large plus for me, as i absolutely hate when games get cryptic. this game has none of that nonsense. however i did find it to be way too easy. if you reading this review before playing the game. do yourself a favour and dont play it on easy mode like i did, and dont proceed to the next levels without exploring the current area fully, because i backtracked after completing the game, and it wasnt engaging because the enemies dont attack you then because youve become invisible to them (dont ask me why, because i dont want to ruin it for you). but anyway follow my advice and you will truly enjoy this great game.
