Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 20 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Coach a sports team of Beasties in this turn-based volleyball RPG!
Beasties' teamwork is powered up by the relationships they form together. Whether they become BESTIES, PARTNERS, RIVALS or SWEETHEARTS they'll get a powerful combo move that's unique to every pair and can turn the tide in a tough match!
Explore an open world and meet a varied cast of Ranked coaches, each with their own story. You'll have to defeat them and raise your ranking if you want to compete in the CROWN SERIES.
Bosses are all revealed on your map from the start and can be defeated in any order. With each one you defeat, the others become stronger, so no matter which way you go you'll have a tough and exciting rise to the top.
Play sports in strategic turn-based encounters on a tiny tactics grid. When you have the ball, you have multiple actions to pass and set up a devastating attack. When the other team has the ball, you'll have to anticipate their attack and make a defense play.
Every Beastie has unique traits, strengths and weaknesses and they have many ways to work together, lending a great deal of depth and strategy to every match.
There's more to making it in the Beastieball League than playing sports! Ranked coaches you defeat become available to hang out, allowing you to build your friendship and see extra story.
As the plot unfolds you'll meet friends, rivals, corporate sponsors, and even a mysterious Sports King with grand ambitions...

this game is a gem. from the narrative to the mechanics to the visual design to the sound design of the game, I don't think I have a single complaint about any aspect of the game. The story is well done, and I love how interacting more with the characters fleshes out the world that they live in the design of the besties, and the mechanics behind the gameplay are both incredibly well done, to the point that after every time I beat the equivalent of a gym leader in this game I ditched my old team to basically start from scratch again and make a new team to see what new beasties and new strategies I could use the songs and the sound design is also incredible, I actively want to listen to the music as opposed to most games where it's just passable, I'd love to buy the ost at some point the biggest sour spot I could say about this game is that it's still in early access and as you get towards the end of the game there are obviously placeholder assets for some animations and the like but the game is functionally complete and I say a complete joy to play
Pros:
- Tutorial can be toggled off to minimum during subsequent runs - Capturing Beasties is refreshing from more pokemon-esque creature collectors - Areas feel do not feel too empty - Game is puzzle heavy (might be not considered a plus) - Beastie designs look really nice for the most part - Beastie colours are different per different beasties of same species, hovewer still recognizable from rarer version of a beastie
Spoilers, one thing I am displeased with for now

It is nice to see beasties get balance patches, however playing against Hydrolm is often really tedious without making a team specifically to apply sweat, angry or just tag out Hydrolm for remainder of the match. Defensively built Hydrolm is likely to be unkillable due to whopping 60 health points restoration from deep breath, access to patience to punish outdoing its healing with stat boosting. Hydrolm feels too good for a stall, as well it fills in a attacker and debuffer at once. This makes it difficult to play against someone using Hydrolm-Scauldra teams, given you cannot gain a point off Hydrolm as well as Scauldra chips away at health with Sauna trait with Steamers.

This review is subject to change given Early Access state of the game
HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THIS GAME ROCKS
The game having a big enviromental message, along with being critical towards the sports industry hadn't surprised me at all, these are the people behind Chicory, you know what to expect from them. Outside of that, I LOVED this game, mechanics and story work so well creating such a great flavor, the monsters designs are lovely (so many critters that I would had wanted to bring with me!) and is full of QoL features to make the game less grindy and be able to add Beasties to the team easily. Like, this is one of the best build games in the genre, I'm amazed about how well everything works. Two things I want to mention are the Map and the Relationships. The Map is full of hidden areas or small-puzzles that open new paths, it was pretty fun while chasing the Extincts Beasties, how they will appear on empty areas of the map, just for me to discover a new path that I had missed until now. You are clearly are going to enjoy a lot exploring the map. The Relationship system is a small thing that I didn't though about, but it gives so much life to your Beasties. When two Beasties play together, they can form four kinds of Relationships: Rivals, Friends, Besties or Sweethearts. This let them make combos during the matches, but can also trigger small events or interactions between them, for example... My two lesbian lizards, Illugus and Hopra, had some moments during matches were Hopra would get cocky and want to look cool in front of Illugus, missing some shots or taking more damage, at the end of a match, Illugus called Hopra and they talked about her behivour and how Illugus was worried that she would hurt herself, so Hopra apologyzed and in the following matches, she stopped trying to be cool and just played normally. I also had two Rivals that asked me who was better, I told them I loved both and they glared at me. Is something that doesn't impact the gameplay so much, but makes your Beasties feel alive, that they aren't just weapons you can swap all the time, but creatures that care about the rest of the team or can make mistakes. In short, Beastieball is one of the best games from the monster-catching genre, is also a game is quickly becoming one of my top favourites and even if it is still in Early Access, I recommend it to anyone that is interested in a new take to the genre, you will love it.
很棒的类宝可梦游戏
Turns out Pokemon and volleyball go together like peanut butter and chocolate. The rest of the game is fairly barebones, but the combat system shines enough to make up for it. It takes the simplicity of a monster-collecting turn-based RPG, makes every battle a 2v2, forces you to manage positioning, and changes the victory condition to scoring points. Also, the beasties are adorable and the writing is very funny.
really good and cute game! battles are almost puzzle-like in nature but also very sportsy and cute, the interactions between your beasties really sold this to me, and the storys quite good too (and the music)! youre missing out if you dont play beastieball
wowie i love the litlle critters aaaaaaaaaa
I wish i was a baller...
