Good
I really wanted to like Beast of Reincarnation. The setting is interesting, the world looks great, and Emma and Koo have some genuinely good moments together. Unfortunately, by the end I felt like I had played a worse and unnecessarily convoluted version of Horizon Zero Dawn. The biggest problem is the story. It starts with an interesting mystery surrounding the Blight, the Beast, Emma, and what happened to humanity. But instead of gradually revealing answers that make everything click, the game responds to every mystery by introducing three new terms you need explained. Brahman, Shambhala, Oracles, vessels, reincarnation, ancient scientists—you eventually reach the point where a character can spend five minutes explaining something and somehow you understand less than you did before they started talking. And then there's Brad, perhaps the greatest intelligence officer in gaming history. At one point he explains that a group of organized scientists called themselves "The Organization." Incredible. I'm surprised he didn't follow that up by informing Emma that the Beast of Reincarnation is a beast involved with reincarnation. That's what frustrated me most: there are actually some good ideas buried underneath all of this. Emma's identity, her relationship with Koo, and the question of what makes someone human could have carried a much simpler and more emotional story. Instead, the game seems determined to bury those ideas underneath lore dumps and twists. The combat is decent and the presentation is impressive, but neither was enough to make me overlook a story that increasingly felt like homework. Horizon Zero Dawn gave me a mystery, revealed the answer, and made me appreciate everything that came before it. Beast of Reincarnation gave me a mystery, revealed the answer, and made me Google what the hell just happened. Not recommended. Koo deserved a better script. Brad deserved a mute button.

Wouldn't call this a perfect game at all, but from what I get the feeling of it, it's not to bad. Combat make me feel like I'm playing a mix of sekiro and ff7 remake/rebirth just with a dog with me. Some times the parry window is weird, but when it clicks it's a lot of fun, the story from the little I have gotten to reminds me a lot of nier/stellar blade in a good way.
For a UE5 game, it's pretty optimized.
I will write a full review once I finish the game, but I really want to praise it, because I have zero idea how it sits on mixed reviews. So far I'm genuinely impressed by how great the game is. I expected it to be good, but not this much. It really reminds me of Stellar Blade, but imo it's even better, although that is a thing of preference ig
Beast of Reincarnation surprised me in the best way. The combat feels satisfying, the world is beautiful, and exploring never got boring. I had a great time from start to finish, and it kept me wanting to see what was around the next corner. But I do think the graphics could use a little more polish. They're good overall, but a small visual upgrade would make the experience even more immersive. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the game and can't wait to see how it evolves.
A sekiro like with a pet dog and some chickens you can farm to lay eggs and get a young girl to make you omelette 8/10
It was a rocky start but that was mainly the camera control getting ripped off me ever few seconds like "look at this" but then the fov being so zoomed in all you really see if the back of characters head... and then there is the controls or lack there of on M&K like most of these type of games developed only using controller any Q and A was done using controller, for instance interact is spacebar and jump is spacebar and shift+middle mouse to do some skill (why not let me just bind that to 1 button) oh and the best for last no thumb buttons can be allocated to anything... so yeah VERY bad controls but was the same with crimson desert. I personally still find this insane that some games give you the option to use any button any combination of buttons long hold, short hold, double press, activate on press or on release, any extra buttons you have on your mouse or keyboard and then you get games like this and it's harder fighting the bad controls than the game its self. That being said the game play is good the progress system is good animations and voice a acceptable game looks fine, no bugs no quest locks (so far) the parkour system is great once you get used to it and combat feels fluid more so when you unlock more skills (and remember what button do what) for me the game is a good 7or8/10 but the controls (M&K) and camera fov put it to a 5/10
