Don't waste your time and money on this game. It is a worse version of stellar blade in my opinion. Gameplay: The beginning of this game is fun for first few hours since everything is fresh and combat is also good. But there is no enemy variety and the same 3-4 bosses are reused which ends up making the best part of this game (combat) feel bland. There is no point in exploring any of the areas as there aren't any real rewards. At most you might get some extra upgrade material but that's about it. During the later half of the game I just stopped exploring all together and just ran it down to the boss so that I could clear the area. There is a food mechanic in the game which feels like an after thought and feels like it has no impact what so ever. Story: The story is so boring. It super slow and has a lot of un-skippable cut scenes. The characters have zero emotions. They just stand still and talk. Not to mention there are parts of the game where you are playing and a character is talking in background which locks you out of doing anything besides walking in circles until they finish speaking.

Beautiful combat. Shame the game keeps interrupting the cutscenes.
SPOILERS BELOW! The game overall was decent, I finished the game in about 18 hours. It would have taken longer if I did not give up on exploring every level. Gameplay was good, but that is when you are actually able to play the game... Probably half or more than half of the time spent in game was sitting through an UNBEARABLE amount of cutscenes that you CANNOT SKIP. Most of the cutscenes are not needed, every little bit of dialogue that could be given to you, in game walking around, was blocked by a dedicated cutscene. I was not annoyed at it at first, quickly changed by Chapter 3 (out of 12 chapters). I found myself clicking pause to try to skip but ended up making it just a little bit longer by pausing. You CAN somewhat breeze through them if you spam buttons but some would not even advance. The enemies are meh, cool at first but there is a lot of reused enemy types with maybe 1-2 new moves, but that is somewhat rare. Just a cycle of go to an area, get to the boss, MORE CUTSCENES, onto the next area. Rinse and repeat until you get to the very lack luster boss that has been hyped up as the hardest fight the entire game. You are telling me that the little singing boy is the final boss???? The whole time it was eluded that Emma (the MC) or Violet (side character) was going to be the big bad at the end. Kind of a let down for all the "hype" (if you wanna call it that). Koo, the dog, was great for the game. Same deal. Eluded that eventually the dog will be able to speak with you if you progress through. Does not happen. But the abilities were decent, found myself sticking to 3-4 abilities while the rest were boring and weak. Game overall was meh 5.5/10. Too many cutscenes, reused enemies, and the exploring became tedious. Not worth $50ish, maybe $30 at most. That being said, the game was fun when you actually got to play it. So, buy at own risk and be prepared for a movie length film in boring cutscenes.
I honestly don't understand the amount of negative reviews this game is getting. Sure, it has its flaws: there's no ultrawide (32:9) support, no FOV settings, and some tutorials introduce mechanics you've already been using for hours before they finally appear. Those are valid criticisms. That said, I think the overall experience is more than solid. The combat feels satisfying, the art direction is beautiful, and the soundtrack is consistently high quality. Exploration is also rewarding and never feels tedious thanks to Koo's ability to detect nearby enemies and points of interest. I can understand why some players might not like this mechanic, and having the option to disable it would be nice. But you still have to explore before Koo gives you any information, and once you understand why Koo and Emma are connected, the mechanic makes perfect sense within the game's world. Overall, I think the game deserves far more credit than it's currently getting.
it doesnt matter what engine gamefreaks use the graphics looks like ♥♥♥♥. The graphics and the overall image quality looks washed and blurry no matter what setting you use. Perfomance is a joke with this image quality and the gameplay is meh. its fun for like the first area but gets boring really quickly. Go buy sekiro or mortal shell 2 your wallet will thank me later.
I don't care what anyways says this game is great and yes, I beat it, but if you feel it might not be for you, wait for a sale and when you play do not give up in the first few chapters. Give it a good chance; also, by the time you play, some things might be fixed, and it might be even better. another thing is the game ran great for me
