Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 31 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is a survival fleet-management roguelite with procedural narrative design and real-time space battles. Shoulder the heavy burden of leadership as you make critical decisions for your fleet’s survival under constant pressure.
You command a fleet of survivors relentlessly chased by the Cylon Fleet. Each new run represents another desperate attempt to rejoin Humanity’s last hope: the Battlestar Galactica.
Prepare, fight, and survive at all costs.
So say we all.

Fleet Management phases offer limited turns to prepare until the next inevitable Cylon assault. As the enemy draws closer, designate priorities to ensure your fleet’s survival:
Dispatch expeditions to nearby points of interest for resources
Allocate supplies and personnel to resolve urgent situations
Upgrade ships for survivability and firepower
Train crew to improve efficiency in and out of combat

Your decisions continuously affect the Fleet’s overall status: faction politics, healthcare, and maintenance levels. Each indicator dynamically triggers narrative events tailored to your fleet’s condition. Your fleet’s fate can evolve in drastic ways if you’re not careful: epidemics, critical system malfunctions, or even a full-blown civil war.
In times of crisis, the Fleet looks to you to make hard decisions. Given your limited resources and time, determine if your fleet can afford to solve a crisis immediately or suffer its negative effects over time.
Perhaps the most challenging crisis you’ll face will be discovering a Cylon has infiltrated your ranks: investigating suspects will cost resources, but taking too long will cost lives.

The Cylon Fleet overwhelmingly outnumbers you. Each encounter is about survival, not victory. Fight high-risk tactical battles while your fleet prepares an FTL jump to safety.
Coordinate frontline squadrons with powerful Gunstar strikes in real time
Use Tactical Pause at any time to preview your attacks and enemy movements
Create synergies to deploy enemy-specific strategies by leveraging your unit strengths and unique abilities.

Rejoining the Battlestar Galactica is a perilous mission with no margin for error. Most fleets will fail, but each attempt will provide new ways to overcome the unforgiving odds stacked against your survival.
Unlock up to four starting fleets, each with its own unique playstyle
Clear trials to access additional squadron units, gunstar weapons, and modifiers that will appear in your next run
Invest in valuable meta upgrades that will benefit all future fleets you command
Challenge higher difficulty levels to test your limits as a commander

excellent evolution of the Crying Suns formula with a Battlestar Galactica wrapping. It IS a roguelite so frustrating deaths due to running into unfair situations that your force is completely unable to handle is part and parcel of the whole genre really. If you get very aggrieved and frustrated by that sort of thing, you won't like this game. But if you're familiar with roguelites and like the battlestar world this is a fun, solid game.
This game is the biggest insult to battlestar galactica fans possible, made up cylon characters and asian influenced designed cylon ships, like the original cylons weren't original enough. obviously made by south koreans who believe that every difficulty needs to be starcraft world championships hard and complicated, every playthrough is made easier when you quit to make you play through the entire game again. the final boss in unbeatable without all the extras that are only available to you after you quit, there is no save button, when you stop you have to start over. like some stupid arcade game where you missed the count down to add a quarter. this is an obvious cash grab with an over complicated storyline that gives you too much to do and not enough time to do it while trying to read everything, not everyone can read a book in 3 seconds.

It's almost good, however there is a problem specifically with certain enemies after a few jumps that super swarm you and have a 90% evasion rate so you have absolutely no chance against them. You have like 2-3 squadrons and the enemy has about 4 times that, under normal circumstances not a problem as you have tactical options, but when your outnumbered forces miss 9 out of every 10 shots, there's really nothing you can do. Especially when they keep spawning more and more units in because you can't kill any of them fast enough. I even had gunstar weapons that shot out like 50 shots at once and it did basically nothing to the enemy forces aside from pop up a bunch of 'miss' notices over them all. It feels like the enemy is cheating, it's so bad. It really makes it seem futile to even try to play the game.
Game tries to do a lot of things but just doesn't really do them that well. There's a ton of different little mechanics, but all of them are boring. There's a Cylon spy finding minigame that is more-or-less random guessing. The combat is a series of RNG checks that determine if you lose before the battle even starts rather than requiring real strategy. There were no battles where I couldn't tell if I was screwed immediately upon looking at the enemy's innate specials. Events are tedious resource sinks. You're supposed to balance different fleet factions but this is also mostly RNG, since how much influence you gain/lose is obfuscated, and the events are random "Either screw faction A or screw faction B" situations. Runs are much too long and the content is repetitive and uninteresting.
Acceptable core gameplay held back by a lack of interesting story and too much repitition. The developer's previous work, Crying Suns -despite my complaints about its ending- had a captivating story that pushed you forward. You wanted to see what the answer behind the mystery of the great shutdown, and that kept you going. Here there's barely any of that. The mystery of who's a Cylon, so keen in the show, doesn't feel significant when the characters are new each run. The meta story shared between runs is just a few lines long, featuring characters we don't know. The story doesn't keep me playing... ...and neither does the gameplay, which gets same-y pretty quickly. The short-range ships go back and forth. The long range ships sit in place. The battlestar guns clean up stragglers. Let's do that 15 more times this run! The crises, while faithful in concept to the original show, just feel like straightforward resource management exercises. The workers' strike in the show was tense because time was spent showing the conditions, the Chief getting in there and seeing that despite the fleet's dire situation, conditions were still too far gone even for emergency work, and in resolving that it was time for a strike. That makes the crisis feel like a crisis, a choice between two harsh alternatives. A text message saying "Workers say conditions are bad. They want 5 scrap. Pay?" doesn't really feel like anything, not even with the :( face beside it. So, manage some resources for a while, until you get the same story ending cutscene, same as every run. You might unlock a new ship that's actually not quite exactly the same as the previous one but it pretty much is.
Huge BSG fan, and this game is not it. On paper, it should be right up my alley, as I love BSG, I love spaceships and space battles, and (usually) enjoy roguelikes, but this game feels like a cheap, casual mobile game port. Lazy writing. Lazy character art and animations. No voice acting. Ships have no character and are not interesting to watch fly or fight -- they fly to their target, and then the sprite literally sits there completely still while doing low quality dice roll laser shot attacks. The tutorial well overstays its welcome, and treats you like this is "baby's first strategy game", and acts as though this *very* mechanically simple game is way more complicated than it actually is. Yes you can skip it, but I was worried I would miss something important if I did (in the end, I in fact, did not). Deadlock, while certainly not perfect, is infinitely better than this slop. It's too bad they removed it from the store a while back. Don't waste your time or money.
Bullseye! That doesn't mean you'll automatically like it or that it's the game you're looking for. It means the dev's built a perfect version of the game they were trying to make. Rouge-lite <check>, Proper mechanics for the game type <check>, Atmospheric/engaging/immersive <double check>, Stylistic while maintaining core look and feel of the canon <check> Sound, music, all good for what it is. Excellent execution on the genre. *Don't expect a super long thing. It's meant to be played quickly and replayed often. Short, sweet and fun.
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is an excellent roguelike experience that accurately embodies the tone of desperation and struggle from the 2004-2009 series. Almost to a fault it captures themes and puts the player into situations and crises that make you feel like you're making the hard choices directly alongside Admiral Adama. Would recommend to anyone who likes roguelike and strategy elements, and anyone with a love for the Galactica expanded universe.
