Basically FTL with "better graphics" but worse gameplay. The combat is, at the same time, way too fast and way too slow. It's not the worst game I've played, but it could be so much better. The game is frustrating and confusing as ♥♥♥♥. There are almost no explanation nor tooltips to a lot of things, and the combat feels way too messy. I think they've made a lot of things more complicated than it should be, instead of focusing on things that could have been way more interesting. The game has been on my wishlist for a long time, and even with the bad reviews i bought it so i could test it. Unfortunately i regret buying it.
Like so many have already said, not having a built in save & reload feature sucks, since there are people who enjoy doing things for testing, learning, or just want to get to the end of the story no matter how weak it is.. SAVE GAME TECHNIQUE: FINALLY - GOT IT working.. but you must copy this ENTIRE FOLDER to a new folder somewhere.. and I know there are a Automated external programs that can copy and rename files to a new save folder on a timer.. but thats a different story, and also, one of you might discover a sigle file that works instead of the whole folder, but I didnt put that much time into it. so for now... to get to the correct location, go to .. C:\Users\YOUR-NAME\AppData\LocalLow\Sernur_Tech Just use your own system-account name where the placeholder above says "YOUR-NAME" WITHOUT THE QUOTES.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game has an achievement-based system for unlocking the ships and weapons in the game itself. Its broken. After it was taking me forever to unlock certain ships I started paying closer attention, that’s when I noticed I was killing ships and doing tasks without getting credit for them. The game hasn’t been updated for over a year, I suspect these problems will never be fixed.
The difficulty curve on this game is horrifically designed. You'll go from absolutely throttling every ship you encounter to suddenly getting hosed by a single opponent who has 50%+ evade, full weapons, and overpowered crew member abilities. Though this is nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little tuning. There's a reason that in FTL bonuses are very subdued. This game doesn't get that. Imagine if in FTL your opponent would suddenly go from four shields, to eight shields. And you might say 'well just take a launcher'. Problem here is the opponent also has 50% evade. But if you manage to get through all that, well the enemy crew has overpowered abilities reducing the damage they take, boosting their repair and performance to ridiculous amounts, etc. And you only have limited rockets. To give you just a real BROAD stroke to hopefully make this real clear, FTL missiles are pretty valuable. Getting 2 or 3 can make or break a run. Other times you'll be sitting on like 40 unable to use them or just not caring to. Well in this game the delta is significantly different. You might visit a shop and find 3-4 missiles OR you will find like 20-30 normal rockets, then like 12ish emp rockets, 12 fiery rockets, and maybe some other kind I don't know. And those normal rockets are super cheap (You can usually afford all of the normal rockets at a station without putting a dent in your funds) while the others are expensive encouraging you to hoard them. So you're thinking 'that's awesome' right? Well no because you'll be firing roughly four times as many rockets since damage in this game can be insufficient to knock off a single bar of the enemy subsystem. So is it clear now? There's just way, way too large of a balance gap. Instead of balancing between 0-4 shields for the player to chew through, they're balancing between 0 and 8+! So now the three laser guns I have that shoot 3 rounds each per volley are insufficient to take down a ship with 8 shields even. Got it? How the hell did this game get released like this? Better question: How did it not get updated and rebalanced? It's not even that it's too hard, it's just really poorly balanced! This is all on normal mode mind you. I'm not touching hard mode. I guess I'll try it on easy to see how I feel and maybe I'll change my review but yeah. I'm not going to keep playing this game to claw at it to try and see if I can find some magical balance of weaponry and shields. Christ, you know what my last battle was like? My ship was being bombarded by emp missiles OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. EMP all over the ship. And you know what? I actually had a crew member who made his room immune to EMP so I sat him in the weapons room and even WITH THAT I still couldn't win the fight. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell man. The best part is that you can just press esc and hit 'main menu' and retry any encounter so long as you didn't finish it all the way. Even doing that about 20 times I gave up! How do you get to be so bad at game design and so disrespectful toward games that you don't even try to fix your damn game? Not worth the 3$ I paid for it and DEFINITELY not worth the 20$ base price.
It improves on the FTL formula: open world, better story, more equipment, better crew skills and leveling. Events are good overall, but some can be frustrating. The only thing I don't like is the awful grind needed to unlock all ships and equipment. I can only play the 4 ships unlocked in the campaign chapters because of the repetitive grind required. Developer should allow testing and/or playing the full game content at least in the creative sandbox - after all, I played for the full game and it's bad design when players can't enjoy it. 4+ out of 5 it also has a free demo, which is rare today. Kudos!
Well, Its like FTL, but much much worse. Maybe I have something with my eyes, but the 3d graphics and effects are... overcomplicated and distracting. You really don't need that with this core gameplay. You should be reading everything quickly. It would be much better with a simpler design.
I love FTL. I love all kinds of space style games like this. This is basically an Unfair FTL. Starting out, the learning curve is a bit high. I learned how EMP can really heck your ship up, especially if it's a boss that has two of them. (Literally permanently stunned my shields and weapons, and I had to wait 10 minutes to just die because you cannot fix EMP...) I beat a run out of sheer luck, and unlocked chapter 2. I reached the final boss of chapter 2 no problem, enemies weren't a problem ever in that run, except when a pulsar kind of hecked me up... But then the boss happened. I died in 3 seconds, because most of its weapons bypassed shields, and I only got one barrage off. I took more hull damage than max hull I had in only two barrages from the enemy. They put a shield bypassing boss at the end of the shield-based ship's chapter. I think the developers might of been sadistic or something, thinking "It's a roguelike, if they just slam their heads against it and RNG lines up, they'll have fun, right?" FTL lets you plan things, and set up builds. This game's balancing is very whack. And I don't even KNOW how to unlock new ships, just new factions when I finish chapters; that isn't even explained to me. Achievements have only unlocked weapons. Overall, the game's atmosphere is great, mechanics are fun, but the execution is lacking. 2.2 out of 5.
Broken food rng, fights are unrewarding and its dead in the water for a very long time. they will never update this or finish their roadmap
This is a nightmare! Why can't I see the enemy ship's weapon name and stats? Why can't I see the enemy crew's abilities? Why can't I see the stats of enemy systems during combat? Why do I have to go to the encyclopedia and memorize weapon silhouettes to learn all this information so I can understand their stats during combat? The graphics are beautiful, no doubt about it. But it's really hard to see the weapon textures with all their glitter and shimmer. And the bosses guarding the gates are incredibly unfair to the player. The first boss, who has four weapons that deal 40 damage to the shield and hull, 10-second camouflage every 10 seconds, abilities that prevent dodging, and an anti-missile drone, is just like the final boss from FTL, but on the first system in your game. Conclusion: There's not enough interactive information on the enemy ship. And the gate guards are unfair. I'll try a different mode instead of a campaign. Maybe it will be more pleasant there. Update I've played for 32 hours and want to change my mind about the game. The soundtrack and graphics are beyond praise. The difficulty is fine. You just need to get used to the difficulty escalation mechanics. The power peaks very quickly, when the crew and ship upgrades allow you to farm scrap and credits without the risk of losing a lot of durability, fuel, food, and supplies. On the downside, the campaign is short. The fact that you can only get new, cool guns by earning achievements. That means the enemy has the coolest guns, and you need to unlock these guns to be able to buy them in the game. The boarding tactics are too strong and unbalanced. You can have absolutely no weapons and still defeat any enemy in 10 seconds (this won't work on drones). There's no sense of rushing past the end of the story. You can slowly grind for six months or a year until you've maxed out your entire ship and crew. And with a fully upgraded ship and crew, even three enemy ships in a row are a piece of cake. I don't think asking the developer to spend more time developing and polishing this game is worth it. In any case, thank you guys for your time and for an interesting game. The time and money spent are well worth it.
