Love the game. Great multiplayer and rank! one thing this needs work on is the AI it so easy its not worth playing when you get ok at the game. One big thing about this game would also be letting people make mods. Or Building these into the game: Allowing FFA of all the countries and changing alliances. Allow custom amounts of money/map changing for the value of the countries Allow custom starting troops Allow custom troop costs Allow custom turn order Allow for a diplomacy way to play (everyone makes troop movements and then moves them). If a unit gets cought in a battle they stay there to fight and don't move any more. (this should be ground stops ground, air stops air, and seas stop seas.) This makes it harder for planes to bomb the right targets that aren't stationary and put a more focus ipc bombing. Still important for sea protection of the fleet.
i still own and play the 1998 Milton Bradley PC version of Axis & Allies. That game has so much more variety than this meager offering. No tech rolls, no option to change teams, no paratroops...aside from the map...this is a let down to me.

I think this game would be very fun if only the armies were larger. I think it is very easy to have one bad/lucky roll and the outcome of the entire game can change on any battle. I also find that the number of time anti aircraft rolls hit are very unlikely.
The game feels like it has ai bias with ai generaly being very agressive to the player and seeming to roll lower numbers than the player and ussaly getting out of tough situations even though they shouldnt have any advantage. and example of this is when i had 3 infantry attacking while the ai only had 1 infantry, i just needed to roll one 1 to win but i somehow only got high numbers over 3 while the ai rolled a 1,1,2. even if i used tanks instead i would have still lost. and that is what every other dice roll feels like. and the ai's aggression is dead center on a player, and it doesnt feel like my ai buddys are really helping with them mainly stacking troops up. i chose to play this game because i broke my arm and wanted something simple to control, and i ended up more stressed from this game due to the ai makeing me its ♥♥♥♥♥
This is not like the old Axis and Allies. Very disappointed! Waste of money.
If you have played the board game, you'll love this version once you get used to the user interface. It takes some time to figure out the controls. I'd recommend playing against the computer a couple times to get used to it. It also seems to be well designed to avoid glitched I've seen in other similar versions of the Axis & Allies like games that allowed player to replay their turns. The only think that would be nice would be an in game messaging option.
I've always loved this game since playing the actual board game during my teen years. I do not like a lot of the changes in the game since the last version, but at it's core, it's still my favorite role-strategy game. I just wish somethings, especially when they aren't broke, would not be changed or altered. Overall, I would def recommend this especially if you've never played the board game or previous CPU versions. Awesome and fun game with a myriad of possibilities, outcomes and scenarios. Check it out!
Good adaptation of the classic board game. There is currently a large online community with a good ranking system for even match making. It's like chess on a world map. No two games are the same. The AI is good enough to learn the rules but quickly becomes too easy. Allot of players use battle calculators which are pretty much a requirement to reach the upper ranks. There are some good calcs online. This is probably the best: https://aa1942calc.com/
It's a great strategy game, though I would not recommend it if you are short on time.
great rendition of a classic game. Reliving my teenage years every day
