About

Enjoy the depth of a 4X game in a fraction of the time! A game of Space Imperia 4X typically lasts one to two hours. The game is played over a series of rounds, with each consisting of three turns of movement, combat, and exploration, plus one turn of researching techs and building ships.

The only goal of the game is to eliminate all rival home worlds! Victory calls for a blended strategy, including resource management, ship construction, technological research, and tactical-level decisions on a map where no two games are the same.

Build up to 17 different combat and civilian ships, each with different stats and purposes.
Dreadnaughts are the most powerful ship available in the game. They take dedicated research and infrastructure to unlock and yield effectively. Once available, however, its combat stats are the best in the game and a fleet of them can decisively end the game. The counter: any ship is vulnerable to Mines — and these massive capital ships are no exception.
Raiders are Cloaked - nimble, first-strike craft that can move through enemy formations and get special bonuses in combat. They require a special technology to be built. A well-timed fleet of Raiders often leads to decisive victory. The counter: Raiders don't work in Nebula, and Destroyers can equip Scanners to negate the cloaking.
Fighters are pure strength in numbers doctrine. Fighters are cheap to build, while Carriers are expensive and are required to move Fighters around the battlefield. Fighters attack earlier in combat, allowing them to first-strike other ships in large numbers. The counter: Scouts can equip Point Defense to shoot earlier than enemy Fighters, negating their advantages.

Research up to 14 different technologies, each with a distinct role. Master the full toolkit to outmaneuver and destroy your rivals.
Ship Size gates which hulls you can build. Bigger hulls take more hits to destroy and carry higher-level technology, but cost more to build and maintain.
Exploration allows Cruisers to equip advanced sensors which can discover adjacent systems without movement. Scout hazards like Black Holes safely, then craft an informed plan to defeat the enemy.
When ships of the same Weapon Class fire, the ships with higher Tactics shoot first, potentially securing kills before the other ship ever acts.

Uncover a galaxy filled with different terrain types, harvestable minerals, and derelict ship wrecks. Balance the risks and rewards of exploring Deep Space while carving a path toward your rivals' home worlds. Colonize newly-found habitable worlds. Not all worlds are the same - when colonizing, Barren Planets need special Terraforming technology, while Alien Planets require military action to clear alien ships.

Build and expand a network of Merchant Ships and Miners to increase credit income and economic production.
Manage your military fleet - decide what ships to build, what techs to equip them with, and how best to defeat the enemy's formations. Deploy your fleets on the battlefield to vie for control of deep space in order to ultimately destroy your enemy's home world. The combat system of Space Imperia 4X is a rewarding mixture of scouting, positioning, attacking, and bluffing - all combat ships are concealed from the enemy until first contact!

Play in over 10 different scenario setups of 2-4 players, with optional rules and various ways to play. Full multiplayer support, including live matches, long-term asynchronous games, as well as online co-op vs AI matches.

Excellent digital reproduction of the board game. Music is a bit repetitive, but decent. If you like the board game, this is a must — maybe even if you don't and want to learn it. The only thing missing are the expansions. Devs, please, take my money!
UI can be a bit wonky imo, but it is 100% space empires 4x the board game. music is idk. not my favorite. pick it up if you like the board game.
This is a classic board game turned into a computer game. They are working on this, and when then get Close Encounters modules added to this, it is going to be one of the most interesting strategy games ever put into a computer program. There is no end to the creative ways to play this game.

Likes: I like the game as well as the board game. It allows me to easily try different strategies. Finding players willing to play for hours is hard so the multiplayer aspect is great. Dislikes: The controls are a little clunky. Clicking on multiple groups to attack a target would be nice. During the battle phase if you have more then four groups the switch tool can be hard to see The AI needs work. I could tell with the demo that it is a work in progress but its coming along slowly. When playing a advanced game the AI dose not use pipelines. I seen a AI player attack another AI home world with a couple of minesweepers. 2X I cant wait to see your updates.
This is quite a faithful replication of the GMT boardgame. I liked the boardgame but it didn't hit the table very often. This one feels faster and easier in many many ways. Can't wait to try it out with my buddy but it's been fun training up with computer opponents. Big thumbs up!
If you want an immersive, in depth, Sci-Fi 4x videogame, go play Stellaris. If you l want to play Space Empires 4x but can’t meet with your friends or don't have $90, play the mod on tabletop simulator. If you want to play single-player or avoid the hassle of setup and other boardgame-isms, then this will definitely do you well. The UI can be clunky, the sound design is lacking, and this is most DEFINITELY coded with Claude AI, but as far as what I expected from digital Space Empires 4x, this does pretty well, just maybe wait till it’s on sale.
发售一两天,官方更新得很勤快,很多bug一点点都在被修复,感觉会越来越好。只是不知道什么时候可以把桌游的三个扩展都更新出来,做成DLC卖也行。另外就是,加上中文会不会更好一些?
great game
It's a great implementation of the legendary board game. I very much enjoy playing it. I like the UI, the sound, music, graphics, but the most important thing of all is that the developer is very active, getting feedback from the community, testing it, fixing bugs and adding new features to the game. I'm very excited about this game and it's future, and of course i'm looking forward for the expansions implementation to this already great game.
I've owned the boardgame Space Empire 4X for over a decade but had only played it once. I'm glad the digital version of the game has been implemented. Pros: - Plays in a couple of hours or so. - Faithfully implements the boardgame. - The threat levels makes the AI progressively more challenging to take on as you progress through the levels. - You can set up two AI to double team against you, so that and the threat levels helps make the game challenging despite the con listed below. - The developer is super active and answer questions in the forum. - There is a variety of maps to switch around the play style. - The game is so enjoyable to play. Cons: - The AI feels early-access. It does not use the advance features of the game, such as MS Pipelines, Carriers & Fighters, Raiders, etc. It also doesn't spend much on tech so it usually stays at lower level of the ship class, usually cruiser or less. The AI also doesn't explore well as it spams instead of intelligently optimizing its search pattern. The AI doesn't feel like an AI, more like a half-done algorithm. I wish I could put one of my AI Agents to play the AI side of this game. On the plus side, the developer has stated he is working on improving the AI so I may revise this section later. - Controls are a little finicky but I'm ok with that. Despite my grip about the AI, I'm super glad this game is out and I can play it. It's worth the full price.
