Every year that goes by proves how timeless this game is. It was fun as a board game, but is much more manageable as a video game.
I need an easy mode in this game. I can only win as the USA and even then it took me seven hours to win in this game. I think it was easier for the allies to win actual WWII then it is to win as them in this game as a new player. That being said I kept coming back for more.

It's a pretty straight forward adaptation of the board game. But rating it as a video game I have to say it's mediocre. So many quality of life things they could have added. Simple things like when you hover over a country or territory it says it's name and what units are there and their names. Little things like that... because it's a video game. So make the UI slick and helpful. I don't like the combat either.
This updated version compared to the original is not as fun. The old version things could be customized, difficulty levels set, etc, this version the computer just screws you
Not even slightly addictive - Trust me and get in the van. Really though - Simple game, still got a lot of players of varied skill level. Occasional crashing due to code being basic - I'd recommend picking it up on sale at least if you are at all interested in the game.
I loved the original board game and later modifications. I was thrilled when a digital computer version of the original was produced. The computer opponent is mostly predictable though follows the most likely moves that a human player would so it works. Game is great, and love that you can play solo in any one or all 5 countries in the same game if you'd like. Often I'll play all Axis or all Allies, and works great. Some times what took all day on a board can be done in less than 30 minutes. Love it, and highly recommended.
6 tanks, and a plane can somehow be killed to just 1 guy sitting on his azz by the games rng rolls
Great digital rendition of the classic board game. Just wished it had the research feature.
A&A fans will enjoy this game. There are a few differences between the table top version and online. So temper your expectations to a 3.5 or 4/5 rating. It seems they have stopped patching or improving the game for the last couple years, so I'm not sure we can expect more improvements in the future.
The game feels like it has ai bias with ai generaly being very agressive to the player and seeming to roll lower numbers than the player and ussaly getting out of tough situations even though they shouldnt have any advantage. and example of this is when i had 3 infantry attacking while the ai only had 1 infantry, i just needed to roll one 1 to win but i somehow only got high numbers over 3 while the ai rolled a 1,1,2. even if i used tanks instead i would have still lost. and that is what every other dice roll feels like. and the ai's aggression is dead center on a player, and it doesnt feel like my ai buddys are really helping with them mainly stacking troops up. i chose to play this game because i broke my arm and wanted something simple to control, and i ended up more stressed from this game due to the ai makeing me its ♥♥♥♥♥
