Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Hilariously poor realism. Parts improperly named, parts straight up missing, the game forces you to disassemble guns in mechanically impossible ways. For example, the AR in the first few missions has a mid length government profile barrel and a rifle length gas system meaning the rifle wouldn't even cycle, period. 0/10 since the devs don't even seem capable of making any effort to do basic research on what they're making a game about. Calling a magazine follower a "magazine top part" has to be rage bait, I cant even comprehend how low effort these developers are. The disassembly system alone in any real life application is some real "try to shove the square in the triangle hole" type stuff.
They actually listened to me and added the 'magazine variant' function to the latest Thompson M1928! I`m so glad that the developer added that to Thompson, my most favorite gun from WW2 era. W dev.

I should love this game because I love simulator games, and I LOVE guns. So why the negative review? There just wasn't enough game here for me, at any price. Here's the pros and cons. PROS - Guns. I mean... if you like looking at 24 guns + attachments that you can paint and then shoot static or skeet targets at a range with. That's it. That's the only pro and I believe this is the only reason you should buy this game. CONS- My gameplay loop didn't change from minute 5 of the game to minute 112, and the gameplay that was there was really walking simulator-ish in complexity. You couldn't mess it up even if you wanted to, as the game made it very clear which piece/part had to go in next and would not advance/let you complete the job without doing it correctly. And you might be thinking: ok, but you have to know what the pieces look like so that's some complexity. Nope: if you scroll over the piece/part name displayed on the screen, the game highlights it on the gun. So that's what I did for 2 hours. Follow highlighted prompts on the screen. Another thing you can do in the game is shoot the guns you customize at various target ranges/galleries. And this is fun... in real life. But videogames allow you to live a fantasy that you cannot live in real life. There's a ton of games out there that allow you to shoot moving targets that shoot back, in various scenarios from the wild west to modern day. Many of those games also have very detailed weapon models that you can customize every which way and sell at a profit. So, then, what is the point of this game? I don't know. I couldn't tell after 2 hours. Be warned.
Would've got my money back but I purchased this game in a bundle with one of the Car Mechanic Sim games and I missed the 24 hour window. I quit on the first task in this game. Because it was too hard? Nope. Game crashing? Nope. It's because I've taken apart far too many firearms to be OK with the first disassembly step on a 1911 being to simply remove the barrel from the firearm, right off the rip. Actuality: Remove the mag. Triple check to ensure you don't turn your own skull into a viking cereal bowl before you even get started. Open the breach by pulling the slide all the way back. Push the safety pin through the frame from the right side, and remove. Slowly slide the action forward, carefully to not allow the recoil spring to go flying across the room because the link bumped the recoil spring guide on the way forward. Remove recoil spring guide and spring, along with the bushing and plug - again so you don't set down your lower and end up loosing your spring/guide because they shot across the room and into your AC vent. (or something....shut up, you've done it too!) Remove barrel, which you should be able to now clearly see has a thick metal notch with a hole through it....that's called a link. That's where the safety goes through, locking it in place. How the eff can you have a gunsmith simulator, and skip ALL of that on the first weapon? Can I also remove the entire guts of an AK-47 without removing the dust cover first? I didn't stick around to find out. I get that it's a game, and surely some things would need to be "watered down" to make it playable, but devvo should have probably done at least 5 more mins of homework on the basic functions of really any given firearm before hot gluing this turd to the bottom of a shoe box...or at least have Googled "1911 cutaway" and expend a few short moments of brain power before botching the first step of the first mission in the game.
Gunsmith Simulator is basically paint by numbers. There's no troubleshooting. The game explicitly tells you what the problem is and how to fix it. In fact, you can only disassemble the parts required to fix the problem. You can only perform the maintenance tasks that are needed for the parts based on their condition. You can only perform the steps exactly in the correct order. The game holds your hand through every step of every process. You literally can't mess things up. But you also can't optimize. You need to fabricate a part in the CNC machine? Well, you'll need to stand there and stare at it even though you could be doing other things during that time. Cutting a new stock from a block of wood? Seems like the quality of the piece would be based on how closely you adhere to the cut marks and how evenly you sand and stain. Nope. Just hold left-click. The game does it all for you. And that's true of every process. Also, the camera at the assembly table isn't very good. You can't click to focus on a part. You have to manually adjust the camera in three dimensions to get a good look at what you're doing. But you don't need to get a good look at what you're doing because assembly and disassembly is just hold left-click on the green parts. Maybe Car Mechanic Simulator has spoiled me.
Very fun if you like simulators as much as I do. As expected, it can't be entirely accurate (especially in the overall assembly of some of the guns) but it does capture the dread upon customers requesting absolutely insane and delusional things to be done to their firearms, to which you have no choice but to comply if you want the funds for your own collection. The gameplay loop is very satisfying. What I would consider a "lazy" simulator simply makes you take things apart, buy new parts to replace the broken ones, and then put it all back together. Gunsmith Simulator has much more nuance than that. You have to wipe dirt off of some parts, sandblast others, give a couple a good clean on the wire wheel. Push comes to shove, some of them are beyond saving and can be either bought or made from scratch with a CNC milling machine. There's even a bluing process to protect freshly made/cleaned parts from rust. Topping it off is woodworking and making wooden stocks from scratch. If you're working on your own gun, you have the choice of different wood types and staining. I like it a lot. It feels like I'm actually using every appliance and workbench in the shop. This would be a glowing recommend if it wasn't for one issue. As of writing this, Gunsmith Simulator has a bad memory leak problem. Within an hour of playing on my rig with 16 GBs of RAM, the frames drop well below 30. Soon after that, and its a stuttering, unplayable mess. The only remedy I've found is closing the game when it gets too bad and reopening it a few minutes later. I've submitted feedback on this, in case you're wondering, and I sincerely hope the developers look at this issue and fix it as best as they can. As I put it, "Watching this game's RAM usage exponentially increase in task manager as I play gives me more anxiety than the disassembly time trials." Right now, it's become too much of a problem for me to continue playing. I would recommend it if your computer has a beefy amount of RAM, but it is entirely possible that this won't fix it. Few mechanic/repair sims are this hands-on and interactive, and it makes me sad that I have to leave a negative review on this one.
probably could be fun if i didnt do this IRL as a hobby and know how much stuff this game made me take apart and put back together that i wouldnt actually need to. the trigger of the mossberg comes out as a complete unit for a reason. you do not need to make me take the whole trigger apart to clean the hammer. also the game forces you to replace and buy new parts even though you could have just reused the original parts. again could be fun if i didnt know how much time this game makes me waste doing things that arent needed. also needing separate tables for attachments and things that you could literally put on while standing or at the table the gun is already at
Плюсы - симпатично и подробно. Минусы - оказывается, у всех мелких деталей есть свои названия и вовсе не такие как рассказывал ОБЖДшник - "вон та длинная хyйня" и "эта круглая хyйня". Теперь приходится учить.

decent enough game but not very good as far as the simulator goes. some of the assembly/disassembly are in the wrong order function tests are really weird having you ♥♥♥♥ the action multiple times even though its already ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and why am i loading ammo into a magazine and inserting it into a gun in the shop? if you know anything about the internals and functions of weapons i would recommend world of guns instead. if you know nothing about guns you will probably enjoy it a little more.
