Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 4 → 13/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

What's not to like? Graphics, good. Story, good. Battles, good!
Avowed is an enjoyable RPG on a par with Skyrim. I completed 90% of the quests in 53 hours and so it has a reasonable length. A welcome feature is New Game+ where you can restart the game but keep your existing stats so that you can more max out attributes. A difference between this game and Skyrim is that enemies do not respawn and so there is a limit to how high attributes can be in your first run through. I am currently 50% through my second run through. The graphics are better than Starfield and so Avowed is definitely a state of the art game.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This game is the most fun I've had playing an ARPG. A lot of comments seem to hate it but I really enjoyed this one. Graphics are gorgeous and it is simple so someone like me that haven't played a lot of similar games find it accessible.
enjoyed this game quite a lot, really hope to find something similar soon
This game does a lot right and a lot wrong

Wrong
-
Companions
companions are some of the worst. Most are forgettable.
I would say that the first companion you get is the best and most interesting.
-
Random Lore
Random Lore is pointless, books and so on. Just skip to the bottom and go next. -
Economy
Economy balance, this comes in a few forms. I found myself adjusting the setting to make the enemies less of a bullet sponge, once I did the game became much more enjoyable. Cost of things is really high to the point you don't want to spend money because you are worried you will regret it. Cost of respect becomes really high. Cost of upgrading gear is to high. If you don't adjust the setting to remove the gear scaling then enemies will take forever to kill and you won't be able to explore playstyles since you are forced to upgrade the gear you have which will cost you all your money making it impossible to go back if you buffed the wrong gear due to the cost of everything in the game. And this is coming from someone who has explored every inch of this game, honestly it's incredibly I have never played a game that makes me want to explore so much.
Personal Preference
-
3rd Person
I tested this for like 10 seconds and never went back, it doesnt play very well the movement feels off. Game is made for first person which I prefer and I think there is a lack there of so this is up to personal opinion. -
Abilities
for the mage line is done really well, this is the first game where you can become a proper spellsword. You can take a few points in 2 handed or whatever weapon of choice and then the rest in different spells. The game plays so well in this way that it might be the only way to play as the other abilities look a little lackluster, either way this is a benefit and makes the game very enjoyable. Casting a shield calling a storm of lighting while smacking everything with your long sword, it's a great feeling. All together unless you are mixing the classes up this might feel a little shallow but again its fun to summon a fire ball and throw it and watch it do massive damage and explode.
Right
-
Exploration
is done incredibly well, the game respects your time. You will end up exploring more in this game than in most, and you are rewarded for it. When you stumble across things that are to do with a quest you have completed, you don't have to double back. I found myself exploring more in this game than I ever have.
Who is this for
I may come back to continue to add this but I can honestly suggest the game for anyone that wants to explore, everywhere you go you find things. This is not an Elderscrolls game. This game doesn't allow you to just go off and explore the entire world, this is a multi-region open world where you unlock regions as you progress. You have a predetermined character to some degree that doesn't allow for role play in the sense of Skyrim rather something similar to the Witcher, you have a background already predetermined and you can make your choiced from there.

Fun 70 hrs of playtime. Gorgeous world, low entry difficutly, good game to relax to. NG+ may get me a second time, but then that might be it. Would love to see a continuation. Has much unused potential.
This is an incredible game, which has some of the best features from other games I love. Imagine combining the finer features, like NPC animations and conversations, from Dragon Age Inquisition with the first-person combat and exploration of Skyrim into one game - that is Avowed. On top of that, the game is stunningly beautiful with exceptional textures and visuals - I often find myself using the photo mode to capture the landscape vistas and dungeon lighting. However, my favorite part of this game is the combat, which allows the player various choices to develop the character as a mage, archer, warrior, or a combination. Even though the visuals are stunning, the game runs flawlessly at high to ultra graphics settings and 4k resolution on my PC. Lastly, the New Game + adds a new layer of replayability. Due to this game being so narratively driven, replayability may be the only con. However, New Game + helps resolve this by giving the player rewards from previous game completions and enabling some early dialogue choices that may not be available on first playthroughs. Overall, I would strongly recommend this game if you love RPGs like Skyrim, Dragon Age, or others.
I'm only 3.5 hours in but: Pro's (so far): I like the combat, especially melee - I like the way the mace hits. The movement is OK, the walk speed is a bit slow but not game breaking. The visuals and environment are great. The story is interesting and somewhat compelling (I might be more interested if I had played Pillars of Eternity and knew the lore better). Cons (so far): The NPC dialog seems forced, like the voice actors were just reading lines and didn't but any acting behind it. When speaking to NPC's they are staring to the side of your character, like they are speaking to someone next to you. When speaking to NPC's the camera will rarely and randomly switch to your face. My opinion, either do it consistently or not at all. Considering how strange you can make your character look, it can be a jump scare when the camera randomly shows your face after not seeing it for a while. My impression overall so far, is that the game is OK. You can kind of feel in the environment how it kept switching between MMO and single-player (Outer Worlds 2 has a much smoother feel to the world). I would recommend this game if you catch it on sale - I bought it at a 50% off sale.
