Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 4 → 13/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Welcome to the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger.
Set in the fictional world of Eora that was first introduced to players in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
The Living Lands is an island where the air hums with ancient magic, the flora seems to move with a mind of its own, and the ground beneath your feet shifts with secrets waiting to be unearthed.
Now, the Living Lands faces a dire threat—a mysterious plague that defies nature and reason, spreading chaos across its sprawling wilderness.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate, but what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, and even yourself. But beware, for every decision carries weight, and the forces you encounter will not hesitate to test your resolve.
Can you navigate the tangled web of intrigue, power, and danger to uncover the truth? Can you save this unknown frontier and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them asunder?
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.
The Living Lands is a place that feels foreign yet somewhat intrinsic to you as it feels the island itself is calling out to you for help. Explore an island home to many different environments and landscapes, each with their own unique ecosystem.
Mix and match swords, spells, guns, and shields to fight your way. Dig into your grimoire for spells to trap, freeze or burn enemies, bash them with your shield, or use range bows to attack from a distance.
Companions from a spread of species will fight alongside you, with their own unique set of abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, they will be part of your journey with your choices shaping them as you help them with their quests.

Pretty interesting so far. Game play is good. I'd watch out for Game Services and the Xbox App, though. if those aren't right, you'll have issues.
Fun game. The combat and the looting got a bit old, so towards the end I kind of sped past things, but overall it was not a bad game. I got this game when it first came out and it was a buggy mess, a year later I play it and all the bugs seemed to be fixed! Didn't have any issues. I will say though that the NPCs in the towns seemed a bit lifeless which bothered me a bit. The fighting gets old because it's the same old thing each time. You start with mobs and then new mobs spawn in and then there's a priest that heals, rangers, maybe a mage, some spiders or so, and then the tank. It definately got old but the story was decent. I enjoyed having a say in what I wanted to do. I liked how when you go back to the older cities, there are chances of new dialogue with certain NPCs. Lots of secret areas, it pays to be adventerous and look around a lot.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

First and foremost, if you like snappy, responsive combat with a lot of variety and space to branch out in builds (and consider this a main draw to any open-world you want to play), this is the game for you. Some might tell you that the unique gear you find in Dawnshore won't be viable when you hit, say, the end of Emerald Stair. They would be wrong, they just haven't spent the time upgrading their stuff. I found a really cool pistol on a bandit I accidentally ran headfirst into while under levelled, managed to kill her, and kept it as my offhand until I reached Galawain's Tusks. I found combat fun and engaging, and I had no real buffering issues even before I upgraded to a new CPU, motherboard and graphics card about 20 hours in (my gear was *old*). The scenery is really interesting, and before I had to clear out my screenshots for storage space, I had about 100 from just finding cool areas and instinctively recording it to send to a friend. The past-life/flashback sequences are beautiful, as with all of the art in this game, and the set design lives up to them. I've always been a fan of mycological imagery, and seeing all the fungi in a big-budget rpg is pretty novel to me. That being said. If you're in this for a thrilling plot with deep characters you can bond with and complex political schemes... this is not the game you're looking for. The plot is pretty basic as these things go. I understand why they don't give an Aedyr-sympathising envoy much leeway, Aedyr is pretty blatantly colonising the Living Lands. This is a bad thing, so why have the inhabitants of the land actively encourage something that would get them exploited and killed (and with the Steel Garotte, the latter is probable)? HOWEVER, When you eventually get your four companions, whenever you make a decision during a quest, there are two advocating for either side. Why do away with both-siding conflict on a larger scale, but why shoehorn your characters like this? Before you leave Shatterscarp, you need to make a choice between (and this is as vague as possible to avoid spoilers best I can) preserving history and killing the future. The latter including killing actual people. Two characters are forced by the narrative to advocate for killing innocents (even indirectly) because the writers need them to. This genuinely made me hate travelling along with them, and I left them behind at camp for the rest of the game. The companions aren't that deep to begin with, with the minor exception of Kai, though he's still pretty shallow. At least his side quest spans three whole areas of the game. Despite this, I did genuinely enjoy my time with Avowed. I bought the standard edition during the Steam Summer Sale a year or so back, so I didn't feel ripped off or anything; though I wouldn't recommend buying this at full price. I don't think I'm going to do another playthrough anytime soon, and it's taken me a while to get around to actually reviewing it, so that's a feeling that's had about 4-5 months to settle. I did all of the side quests I found, bar some of the treasure maps and one or two in Shatterscarp, so it is about a 60-70 hour experience at my admittedly slower pace. If you're an achievement hunter, you're obviously going to spend more time with it. TLDR: Great combat, interesting visuals, alright plot, shallow-as-a-puddle characters. Prioritise accordingly.
