First ever fighting game, it just feels good to play.
Game has soul in it and its not some slop fighting game. Even on my low end laptop the game runs great
The more I play online, the more it makes me realise i actually hate fighting 70% of the current roster. Not reccomended. Feels like a 1 frame window for 'combos', whilst other people can bounce me round the arena like i'm on a shoot for brazzers. Inputs need to be in the specific frame of animation or the combo will drop, making this a beginner spends 20hours and still can barely do a down-c into airball on aang unless j mash the inputs then jump off my scooter. My most consistent thing is a b, down-c for 200 damage a pop. Ive had easier luck hitting combos in mortal combat with only 2 hours experience whilst trying to learn the controls. Worst thing is I've got 0 feedback for what im doing wrong and why the combo just drops or Aang fails to get on his scooter - works just fine if i take out the B before the Down C, but need to spam after the B if i want airscooter in the combo. Every character has the same 1 or 2 playstyles. Toph boulder slam into armoured dash combo, bounce with 2 pillars, repeat. Azula pointy the fingy in you real quick for a 20 hit combo, maybe finish with the fire trap. Zuko the same 18hit combo followed by ult, then fireball spam at a distance. Korra just autocombo and win - throw some special in there every now and then to keep pressure up and just free. Sokka just throws his boomerang at you, does his spinning big bash thing, runs away, fhrows boomerang, dives at you, repeats like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ until your hp bar is somehow depleated. I wish I could say there was more than those 5, but litetally no one is playing Katara. Zaheer & Aang get more screen time. The avatar state Aang dont get any use. Only a few people playing the nightmare korra... and ♥♥♥♥, was that the whole roster already? Haven't seen no good firelord, and no one wants to play the 13ft tall avatar Kyoshi despite her overwhelming ability to autocombo a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ down. unfinished features. Unreal difficulty curve. Unfinished characters. No skill based matchmaking. No settings past control reassignment surgury, alongside some volume reassignment too. Some timing feedback would be wonderful so I know if im inputting things too early or late, but this is going to get locked behind the wait for the 5 DLC characters, plus 1 from the movie. Maybe if this game released with some more people, I could get behind it instead of the Zuko, Toph, Azula spam each game.
Крутая игра, где происходит тык-тык-тык 1 на 1, но игра сыроватая. Буду следить за обновами
Who would’ve thought the Avatar fighting game would be for sicko freaks (affectionate)
I Am Melon Lord !!!
As a fan of the tv series I really wanted to like this game, but it felt very unfriendly to get used to the fighting in the game. The tutorial immediately launches you into complex combos and the NPCs were especially tough in the story and practice mode. I couldn't make it a round past the first chapter 1 NPC. The game felt very "sweaty". This is coming from someone who has spent their life playing and doing well in games like Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur and more. I'm certain if I was more patient and motivated, I could get better at the punishing game but that wasn't the experience I was seeking. I believe this starts at and likely ramps up more extremely than modern iterations of Mortal Kombat for instance, so be prepared to really work for your wins.
