Another Atelier game i picked up - another one that's the 4th game in it's Quadrilogy. What can i say about the game... It's a game that almost does everything it sets out to do right! Like, if a series i am into or something more to my tastes was done on the same level, it would probably be one of my fav. games of all time. I can imagine it's one that ranks quite high amongst Atelier fans. I honestly have no big/major complaints with the game. The Alchemy in this game is super fun - the Elemental tetris and how you need to combine everything to get the item you wanted is pretty fun, especially later on when you get the bigger boards with the different effects and you just go on elemental tetris'ing. If i have one thing to complain about concerning Alchemy is that you can't create multiple items at once (like in Lulua) - but i can imagine that's pretty hard to with Tetris - and you have duplicate anyway if you need an item multiple times - but you can't do the wholesale thing. Gameplay - dungeons and the whole weather thing were fun, and i liked the whole Aura thing in combat, but did they really have to give us 4 characters with delay attacks xD. Also weather in combat could've been used better. Wish more boss battles made me rethink my build and use everything in the system like the final boss did. Still, pretty fun! Characters were fun - especially Rami - and story was fine...but ya know, i think worldbuilding could've been done much better. The NPCs should've had names and stuff, and the quests connected to them instead of the whole guild thing. Would've made me care about the world more. I think that's the one thing the game was turly lacking - world building and NPCs. With Dreams being a centeral point of the game, would've been cool if NPCs and their dreams were more fleshed out and we helped some more achieve their dreams. Music good as expected of Gust - but it is the one aspect where i find it weaker than Lulua. But still pretty high quality! All in all, it was pretty fun - and makes me excited for the series' future - maybe i will become a bigger fan of the series instead of just playing a game every know and then? Who knows. Yumia is looking pretty cool! Also still gotta play Dusk xD Atelier Rami when?

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 27: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Best game overall in Mysterious series of Atelier games. Main story is good, one of the better ones in Ateliers I have played. Characters are fun and interesting, with good individual storylines. Combat system has a lot of options. Alchemy system is build around filling the grid, offers a lot of options and flexibility and will keep you doing new recipes for hours.
There are so many good things that I wanted to say about this game, which make this game the top Atelier game for me, right behind Mana Khemia and Ar Tonelico. The QOL in Ryza 1 are improved a lot in this game: - List of available (obtained/not obtained) drops on every gathering spot are shown on every map AND on every gathering spot. It's not something necessary since there's no time limit in this game so we don't need to be selective when choosing gathering spot. But a very good QOL nonetheless. Very useful when doing requests or hunting specific mats/monsters. - They also brought back the small chibi head icon showing up on maps whenever a new event available. Kinda disappointed they removed this from Ryza 1. - Fast-forward button in events are very useful to reduce the time following the story. - Auto-save feature is available an an Atelier game (finally!). This game crashed several times on SteamDeck and it only ran smooth with low graphic setting, so auto-save is an auto-win solution. Huge graphic improvement especially on characters models compared to Ryza 1. I especially don't like the shading on the Ryza 1's 3d character model faces. They looked jarring for some reason. I'm so glad they don't use the same style for this game. Gameplay-wise, there are many things they brought back from previous Mysterious games and Ryza 1: - Night time doesn't make monsters aggresive (stronger), just like in Ryza. There are traits that can make characters stronger depending on the time of day, but there's no way I use those situational traits on top of Dragon God's Blessing traits lol - The changing weather mechanic make the maps feel so dynamic (different enemies/boss/gather materials/terrains on each weather). - Camping feature from Firis is available here, though it's kinda useless because the game is not open world and we can instantly go back to the Atelier. Using camp is consuming item as well so it's another L. - Love that it retains the usual synthesis mechanic from mysterious series. it was fun because it performs like tetris and easier to get items with high quality. They went back to the usual full turn-based battle mechanic instead of semi-action like Ryza 1. To be honest I like Ryza's battle system a lot, but there are few things that Sophie 2 kind of different compared to other Mystrious titles: - Battle speed x2.0 is available here. I love seeing this feature on my turn-based games. - Twin actions make the battles in early game piss easy. you can just spam it and the enemies die in 5 seconds. Ultimates are called Dual Trigger and are activated with two characters instead of one. - By pressing R1/RB we can see which character the enemy will attack in their next turn by pressing, making the battles easier because you can make the characters guard beforehand. But you'll end up not using it 99% of the time. Sophie 2 OSTs for me are more memorabble here compared to other Atelier games. There are few that caught my attention when exploring. Most of the time though Atelier OST are usually forgettable. Story and character development/interactions are what made Sophie 2 shine the most among other Atelier games. I love the premise. There are depressing moments especially at the beginning. The interactions between not only the playable characters, but NPC are done so well. It has higher standard for a Atelier game for me than what I've experienced before. So I'm glad I've experienced it until the end. The only con that I could give to this game is that container is way too small. There's no way to extend container like in Lydie&Suelle so near the endgame you'll spend some time removing unwanted materials every time you go back to the atelier. This is kind of annoying because every map gives a lot, I mean A LOT of loots to pick up. If you're a hoarder in an RPG like me, you'll end up meeting this obstruction point sooner or later. --- Hours later into working, and I'm still thinking about the ending. It's similar to the ending of TLoH: Trails in the Sky 3rd. But this time I cried like a baby. It was sadder than I expected. I didn't believe it when that happened. I cried because of an Atelier game. The last time I cried because of a game is at the ending of Tales of the Abyss. I love Sophie so much as an MC. For me, both her looks and personality are league better compared to other Atelier MCs. I'm sad that her journey has finished long before I played this game, but I had to force myself to uninstall the game today so that I can peacefully move on to the next stories. 8/10
I don't even know where to start. I have so many good things to say about this game. It's not super realistic, but it doesn't have to be. The art is gorgeous. Since the game takes place in a dream world, the scenery is appropriately beautiful and dream like. It's a treat for the eyes at every turn. All of the characters have wonderfully appealing designs. Waifu design is top notch, and there are some really nice fan service DLC outfits as well. The story isn't the most involved or amazing. Doesn't have to be. The main emphasis is character moments, and the ending is truly emotional and moving. Combat is a LOT of fun. Each time a party member is being targeted, you can choose to have someone in reserve block, or allow the party member to take the attack. Blocking can have advantages depending on how you have your party equipped. There are also very flashy and fun to watch twin attacks and epic dual trigger attacks for high damage. The crafting is extremely enjoyable. It is a lot of fun tweaking things to try to get the most out of your weapons, equipment, and items, The soundtrack is just as beautiful as the art, and there are some truly breathtaking pieces. In summary, I am rather new to the Atelier franchise having played only Ryza 1 and 2, and Sophie 1 and 2, but in my limited experience, this is some of Gust's best work. I do not know how they can possibly top it. Get this game. You will enjoy it!
神作,不玩苏菲2的人注定度过一个相对失败的人生。即使通完关很久以后,还是会怀念起当时50多个小时的美好时光
我永遠喜歡蘇菲老師
TENTATIVELY, yes, I recommend this. Having finished the previous game, though, many things starkly stand out. 1. NO ENGLISH DUB. For those who, like I did, started with Sophie DX because that's when they removed the time limit on the games, going from a good English dub to no dub at all is not only a shock, it's downright annoying, as I'm used to hearing the English and watching facial expressions. Now, I have to read everything, and the graphics of conversations are a total waste, because I can't see them for all the reading I have to do. If you have a problem with reading captions, this is NOT your game. This wasn't a problem in Sophie DX. 2. Significant lag in the input process. In the previous game, my XBox controller inputs are fast. In this game, I find myself having to hit a button 2, sometimes 3 times, because there's a delay in processing my input for some unknown reason. This should have been tightened up prior to release. Mind you, my computer is less than a year old, and pretty much top-speed. This shouldn't be happening. When you have to gather tons of crafting resources by hitting the A button each time, this annoying frustration builds up rather quickly. This wasn't a problem in Sophie DX. 3. Camera controls are FUBAR. I had to disable the auto-follow feature because the camera would get "stuck" at times, resulting in repeating camera jumps so bad it could cause motion sickness. I have to control the camera at all times. This wasn't a problem in Sophie DX. 4. Run speed in the open world is way too slow. Yes, you can warp to sections of the main map, but you have to find the warp crystals first and activate them. Even then, the open world maps are huge compared to Sophie DX, and the run is a LOT longer than it was previously. While the scenery is beautiful, the long time it takes to traverse a map makes me feel bored eventually. I'm used to the smaller but more numerous maps of Sophie DX. 5. You can't talk to everyone, and you can't go in most buildings. You have to look for conversation icons to talk to people, and you have to look for location icons on the map to see what buildings you can enter - and you can't enter a lot of them until the story progresses. I call this "GTA 5 Syndrome", where the majority of the gigantic map is useless scenery. I know a lot of places will open up soon in Sophie 2 DX, but it's annoying to not have them available from the start. 6. LOTS of invisible walls (especially around the Dream Tree). Also, you can't jump off of small hills in one accessible area to land in another accessible area - why even have the jump function? 7. One of the first craftable items in Sophie DX was a healing item (Berg Medicine, IIRC). There isn't one at first in Sophie 2 DX. I'm afraid to get into most battles, because I only have 3 weak characters and no way to heal them. Mind you, there are boss-class monsters on the map FROM THE BEGINNING. I ran into one, and just barely managed to run away. I've made over a dozen recipes, and still no decent heal items. Considering this is Dream Land, you'd think they'd have heal stuff available from the beginning. 8. The new synthesis process is a bit random. Your cauldron exhibits different bonus symbols that make recipes better, but they differ by recipe and probably at random (I haven't checked in detail). I've gotten some outstanding items, and then some mediocre items from the same recipe due to placement and number of the bonus symbols. If you want to understand how to make items of high quality, you will need to go over the process more than once, as the tutorial is not enough. The whole links vs. lines thing just doesn't make much sense. This was not a problem in Sophie DX. 9. The beginning of the game is running back and forth a LOT. Also, when you complete quests, it likes to teleport you back to town, even if you don't want to go yet (you know, pick up a few more ingredients on the way out then fast-travel back would be nice so as not to have to make two trips in short succession). The game drags you around a lot, at least in the beginning. This was not a problem in Sophie DX. 10. The combat system is radically different. If you skip the tutorials, you will miss out on the combo attacks that the characters now have (as opposed to the characters auto-assisting in Sophie DX). Also, the combat selection menu is a tiny vertical menu on the lower left side of the screen, and not very visible, unlike in Sophie DX. All in all, it seems from my very limited time playing this game, that this game is more like a beta-test rather than a full game. Many of the functions that were smooth in Sophie DX are clunky now, and slower to use. Problematic controls that should have been fixed were left as-is. Some design decisions should have been re-thought. It's unlikely that these problems will be fixed, based on the game's update history, so if any of these things are a non-starter for you, don't get this game. I hear the Ryza series is better, but I haven't played it yet. If you're into the story, though, the story seems as good or better than Sophie DX. You just have to suffer through all the jankiness.
