Amazing game
hi. i just wanna start this off by saying i have NO idea how to review media in general. AND also i dont even have that many hours in this game to begin with....., but i just felt like writing this down after a really good run i had. i also just wanna say, this game is definitely a lot more easier than most roguelites. this ones like a deck builder metroidvania... buzzword buzzword buzzword. you can find that out yourself. the game being easy after finding out what you can do should come off as no surprise at all. either that, or im just somehow better at this game than any other one i play... which is most likely the case. the controls are smooth and silky, and movement in this game are definitely for crackheads that play. readability can be an issue at times, but, come on. theres 2 gazillion things youre putting on the screen yourself, so... yah. other than that, this is ONE beautiful ass indie title, dude. i can gush and go on forever and ever about how beautiful the smooth animation is, the art, the SOUNDTRACK???? The Garden itSELF makes me wanna tear up. sure, i found the voice acting a bit... "eh" at times. but other than that, dude? its a banger game. plz check it as well (as well as the dlc!! help the animals out even though i havent bought it myself.... looking forward to it tho :])

6.5/10 its solid, but nothing special. If you enjoy rougelites, you will most probably find some fun here. But it does not reach the same heights as games like Dead Cells or Hades. The artstyle is beautiful, if sometimes a bit flashy. which can lead to not seeing an enemy attack. The boss and enemy design is one of the best things about the game. Combat is quick and filled with a lot of action. The endgame is ok, it is quite grindy and never gets properly challenging. I finished most of the game and got all steam achievemnts in about 35 hours. If you are thinking of getting the game, be aware, that it has quite agressive ingame advertising for the dlc. Its not a dealbreaker, but constantly showing the player "hey, you could do this if you buy this dlc" is kind of a scummy thing to do.

A must play game if you enjoy Dead cells. Few notable points that make me appreciate this game a bit more, while they may give the opposite effects for others are: (1) this game gives more cues/prompt on the enemy attacks etc. (2) obviously different characters and lots of variations on the build options. Bottom line, 100% recommendation for casual players who want to enjoy roguelike.
