Assassin's Creed™ is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that redefines the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin's Creed merges technology, game design, theme and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of...

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Enjoyable.
Wish this would run on modern hardware

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Still holds up, some jank and outdated software programming aside (Such as needing a mod for proper controller support)
This is unplayable without further modification by the player after purchase. That alone should disqualify it from sale. The game does not hold up in the modern day. The combat is slow and nonfluid, the parkour is janky and will have you falling from walls you clearly did not intend to, the world is far too open, so much so they have to give you a horse to get around it, everything is too spaced out from what you would expect in an Assassin's Creed game, and there are no subtitles. I have immense respect for this title for creating a franchise I truly do love, but this was an incredibly rough start and genuinely not worth going back unless you had originally played it and wish to do so for nostalgia. There is no reason to play this as someone who got into the series past the 2nd game.
peak cinema very good game
Good Game
This is the core of the franchise, only held back by being too bare bones and repetitive.
Game constantly glazes Salahaddin (disingenuously) - you'd think he was Jesus
Pros

Atmosphere & Setting - 1191 AD during the Third Crusade
Solid Gameplay loop - Like Hitman, but with blades
Investigations - What you uncover dictates how you approach missions
Parkour, Parkour!
Cons

Repetition - Pretty much the exact same mission loop for the entire game
Ubisoft - Dead server pings causes stutters until you patch it
✅ Buy Buy it on sale before Ubisoft delists it. Despite its flaws, it’s still an impressive game for its time. I’d highly recommend modding the base game otherwise, it’ll look incredibly dated on modern hardware. This is the Assassin's Creed most in need of a remake, but Ubisoft would rather just play it safe or churn out more fake-history slop.

Modding Recommendation You just need this one modpack that bundles a bunch of mods together - fixing technical issues and upscaling the textures and bumpmaps.
