As someone who has been a massive Assassin's Creed fan since childhood, I bought this purely out of my love for the franchise. The game itself is an incredible, old-school masterpiece. If you are a fan of the classic Assassin's Creed formula before the series shifted into massive RPGs with Origins, you absolutely must experience this story at least once. The Ezio Trilogy remains the absolute peak of the franchise. [b]Note on the developer:[/b] Love the game, hate the publisher. Buy it deeply discounted or pre-owned if you can, do not support Ubisoft's current anti-consumer practices.

There are games that entertain you for a few hours, and then there are games that stay with you for a lifetime. For me, Assassin's Creed II belongs firmly in the second category. I first played this game as a child, and over the years I've returned to it more times than I can count. Every playthrough feels like revisiting an old friend. While gaming has evolved tremendously since 2009, there is something timeless about Assassin's Creed II that continues to capture my imagination and emotions. For many people, Assassin's Creed II is considered one of the greatest entries in the franchise. For me, it's more than that... It's a cherished part of my childhood, a source of countless memories, and a game that I will always hold close to my heart. No matter how many new games I play, there will always be a special place reserved for Ezio Auditore and the incredible journey that began in Renaissance Italy. Requiescat in pace, Fratello Mio.
