It can be a struggle to get running on new hardware, but it is totally worth the effort. I am sad we didn't get to see more of this underground world. The premise itself is pretty amazing - what with the sun 'dying'

De los mejores juegos de rol fantasía oscura que vas a encontrar. La banda sonora es excelente, siendo uno de los puntos claves del juego con su ambiente oscuro, es muy inmersiva, opresiva y hasta da miedo en algunos escenarios. La jugabilidad y el combate es algo raro y un poco tosco, como lo que había en la época aunque no lo veo tan complejo en comparación a otros juegos similares, lo que sí, el sistema de magia es bastante peculiar ya que nunca había visto que para hacer magia tengas que dibujar las runas una por una para lanzar un hechizo, al principio es complejo pero luego te acostumbras a la magia. Las misiones, puzzles y la historia son otro de los puntos fuertes del juego, tienes que explorar los mapas con mucho detalles ya que puede haber un interruptor oculto, puede haber un nota escondida o incluso objetos que solo puedas coger usando magia. Creo que algunos puzzles/misiones son algo complejos y es mejor pasarlos con una guía cuando estes muy perdido. En general, es uno de los mejores rol fantasía con una gran ambientación, gráficos y jugabilidad de la época, un sistema de magia muy peculiar y puzzles e historia bastantes buenos para disfrutar. PD: Recomendado jugar con Arx Libertatis para jugar en PCs actuales

Worth playing just for the unique, haunting atmosphere. The world of Arx is dark in a way I've not quite seen yet in another RPG. Just short enough for the mechanics not to get on your nerves. May be necessary to open the guide occasionally, but it's worth at least trying to figure everything out on your own. Try it, see how far you can get, then you can look it up. Don't try to play this game without magic, you'll have a bad time. Community patch is necessary.
