great game
Lots of fun, I like way you build your economy like a factory though it's a bit hard to wrap your head around. I only started playing after the latest patches so I never experienced the "bad old times" but this game seems fun and rewarding to learn/play.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

From someone who has collected more than 10,000 hours on Civilization, this is just not on. The idea is cute, the development confusing, and at times it feels like being locked in a cage, the turns pass with the conviction that you are not in control of the situation at all. There is always a resource that is low, even if you concentrate all the cities on collecting it. The fact that a wonder occupies an entire region makes it really complicated to create. There is also little checks and balances on armies: with a somewhat experienced scout I eliminate bear dens. An army composed of swordsmen, archers and lancers can be defeated by a cougar, and most of the time I don't even notice it. The trade is unclear and the creation of additional resources is so time-consuming that one simply forgets to use them. I repeat, it is a decent game that, even graphically, looks like a one-man game, which should cost a maximum of $15. The pretentious cost, however, at which it came out makes it a choice to avoid even in the case of offers. After more than 64 hours since the last review, I cannot change the judgement. It has been patched consistently since then, but the initial impression does not change. It's a good game for the first few eras, after that it becomes boring and not so much difficult as annoying to play. With each new game I think ‘why didn't I like it then? it's good!’ then after an hour or so ‘that's why I didn't like it...’
Solid game
It's not quite Civilization but if you're a fan of that series then I would highly recommend giving this game a try. Especially if you like the emphasis on logistics to make your empire run.
Great game, just at time to prepare myself for CIV7
This is a game for those who want to be in control of every aspect. The detail is deep and I find it bordering on a grind of sorts. The devs are slowly rounding this title into form adding many QoL features to smooth your game play experience. Looking forward to see how they tweak the game to make some of the lesser leaders more playable and what new leaders they add. Be warned, if you don't like games that require you keep track of every detail of your game play, you will not like this game.
I liked the game already so I am giving it a review thumbs up because they fixed their core game before trying to patch it in with DLC's. I think that is pretty unique at this point.
