this game is what this game advertises it looks jank it is jank but jank is in the love of the game you like action? you like flying? you like ground barased vehicle based and flying based combat? you like space? you like getting prison shanked by an unemployed mouth breather coming at you from across the map at mach 10? then stop reading the reviews and spend your mcdonalds lunch order and play this damn game it has so much love and depth that youll be drowning for hours see you in space cowboy
A very particular type of autist will love this game. For the vast majority of players, just play Planetside 2.

The game had about 50 dedicated players for its whole development and it shows, space battles are pretty bad and laggy even on servers with 15 ping. city map is overcrowded with terrain that is difficult to tell the enemy from. despite it being launch, the balancing is all over the place with weapons either killing instantly or tickling the enemy. case in point the knife which quickly became the go-to weapon in multiplayer. so why the thumbs up? this game got soul. it is jank but at the same time it is something we won't get any more of. the designs blend together in the muddy UE3 lighting but once you get to appreciate them they stand out as more creative than anything we had nowadays. you can buy this game just to play with bots even if there's no one left to play online. but most importantly i hope this gets a proper sequel with better netcode and improved ship controls
While the fact that is has been supported for 10 years and finally released out of early access it's sad to say that this game still feels pretty undercooked. - hitreg (or hitboxes unsure which is the issue) feel pretty poor, even compared to contemporary games from around it's time. - movement is pretty stiff, I am not expecting a full movement shooter but it just doesn't feel great (on foot, vehicles especially space battles feel good) - weapons very very imbalanced, some are amazing others are borderline useless - TTK varies heavily between armor types and due to the visual muddiness of the game it is hard to tell which type you are going up again'st in the heat of battle, thus making it difficult to assess a situation - UI is cool and stylised but missing allot of QOL features, and other options are just in weird spaces (your text chat box being smack in the middle of the screen for example) - weapon feedback, SFX and feel is just lackluster, there a couple of guns that feel decent but the rest feel like you are shooting biscoff butter Overall this is a decent concept that is carried pretty heavily by nostaligia I think, it just doesn't feel great, looks ugly, and while people praise the fact that it has bots, the bots aren't anything to write home about. I wish the devs the best and I decided agains't refunding the the game to give it a further shot but I can't see this lasting very long.
Reminds me of the good ole days
This game is almost everything I've ever wanted in an FPS. Feels like a really good blend of FPS games like Battlefield and OG Battlefront 2, especially the space battles. TTK feels a little weird with most of the guns and vehicle damage is not that great but otherwise no complaints.
I had a fighter on me so I switched to the newtonian flight model, turned around, and shot back at him while flying backwards. He didn't expect it. 10/10
Put it this way I was initially going to refund, but I'm sooooo glad I didn't. I have been waiting for a game like this my whole life ( I'm in my 40s) and all I can say is WOW . If your looking for a game where you can seemingly do anything in this type of combat your in luck cause this is it . If you want to board and an enemy ships and 86 everyone on board go for it then blow it up or steal it it's all up to you . Even the gunplay as infantry is amazing how they pulled off the movement of a solider weighted down by your gear and having to remember this ain't no COD where you can ads in 0.2 seconds no you gotta time that stuff . Long story short absolutely amazing game and I'm barely 5hrs in but don't take it from me try it yourself. I don't even have all my keybinds done yet and am having an absolute blast. My best advice if you been looking for something like this or just want to try something new this is it . See you on the battlefields 😁
An absolute blast of a game. never thought I would be playing a new game running on UE3 in 2026. The space battles in this game are definitely one of its biggest highlights.
If OG Battlefront and Planetside 2 had a baby. The single player option makes it nice to not get pubstomped by people who play 24/7 like in planetside.
