From the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Dear Esther comes a new first-person horrorgame that will drag you to the depths of greed, power and madness. It will bury its snout into your ribs and it will eat your heart.

the atmosphere is amazing, the music is breathtaking, the voice acting is fantastic, the only thing that I had minor issues with is the gameplay. this game is definitely less interactive and easier than the dark descend, but then again, this game is not really a game, it's an experience, it's art. playing it felt like an interactive audiobook, which i really liked. it tells a horrifying yet beautiful story.
Очень недооценённая игра, которая намного лучше того же аутласта. Потрясающий сюжет, великолепный саундтрек и атмосфера, но очень слабый геймплей. Любителям жанра рекомендую. 8/10

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This was a step down from Dark Descent, i would not recommend playing Machine for Pigs. It's more of a story then actual horror, and for the life of me i could not care about the story. It's very slow and doesn't add much to anything. If I had to give a rating, Dark Descent would be a 9/10 and Machine for Pigs would be a 1/10, it's THAT much of a difference for me. Did complete the game btw.
A galera detestou - o jogo é chatissimo mesmo - mas pra mim esse Amnesia tá na mesma régua do Dark Descent. Detestava aquela escuridao e tremedeira do jogo anterior. Aqui temos vela que nao apaga e labirintite controlada, entao só vi vantagens. Virou um walking sim? Virou sim, nao temos como negar, mas é o que o pessoal da Chinese Room sabe fazer, nao tem muito o que discutir.
Without an inventory and with regenerating health and infinite lantern, Machine for Pigs stands alone as one of the least gameplay heavy games of the series. I would also argue it's one of the least scary in the series as well. That being said it also has my favorite setting for the series by far. Atmosphere and story immaculate as well. Even though it's the weakest in the series, I would still recommend it if it goes on sale. If you're wondering which one to pick first, Dark Decent is still the best, with the Bunker coming in close second.
If the main appeal of Amnesia for you is purely for the narrative then I would recommend this first over any of the other games. Going in blind is best and I won't elaborate further. :) The gameplay here takes an ENTIRE step back from Amnesia The Dark Descent. There is no survival horror mechanics in this game. It's essentially one big 4-5 hour linear walking simulator with very simple and brief puzzles. Coming from TDD, it's extremely jarring seeing how every single shelf and door is locked and nothing is interactable unless it's for an objective. Because of that, there is absolutely no reason to explore anything since everything is blocked off anyway. It also has performance hitches which makes no sense since it's the exact same engine as The Dark Descent. Every time you go into a new area or a new scripted sound queue appears, the FPS locks to 40 until you tab out and back in the game. Happens 1-2 times per new area. It's lastly worth mentioning that the steampunk setting is amazing as well as the piggie enemies. Woulda been a perfect game if the gameplay was as expansive as TDD. If you are here for the story, this is 10000% worth it. If you are here purely for gameplay, this is absolutely not worth it.
One of the best horror games in past decade. Way better than Outlast or Fnaf
Fabularnie sztosik, rozgrywka mogła być lepsza.
