From the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Dear Esther comes a new first-person horrorgame that will drag you to the depths of greed, power and madness. It will bury its snout into your ribs and it will eat your heart.

Boring
So far, I feel less like I'm fighting for my life than I did in the original game, but in some ways I prefer what this title is doing as a sequel, even if I had hoped for a sequel that expanded on the story of the original characters more. This game nails the creepy atmosphere and the fun of figuring out what to do next without having a chase sequence every other level, I really enjoy that.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

NO recomendado
A lot better than I expected it to be based on how much hate it's gotten. It's strengths are definitely it's story, music, and atmosphere. Doesn't do a whole lot in terms of gameplay and some lag/crashing. Don't go into it with TDD on your brain, different games but similar vibes and there are very few mentions of Brennenberg/Alexander.
this game is so much fun if you are already scared of pigs like i am you will have a blast playing this game. you will also have nightmares.
Hratelnost
Pohyb a základní ovládání vychází z prvního dílu série, avšak v mnohem zjednodušené podobě.
Náplň a tempo
Hra začíná velmi rychle a okamžitě vás vrhá do děje. While the game can feel a bit hard to get through it is still a great experience. I had played and fully completed the previous Amnesia title The Dark Descent and its DLC about a month before getting to A Machine For Pigs and I must say it brings a completely new experience. The story is way deeper than TDD's and the absence of an inventory, replaced with having to carry objects from one place to another felt quite refreshing in the end. Can't say I didn't like it that's for sure, the only possible downside might be the absence of a chase theme or the removal of the sanity system which are in my opinion played a lot in my love for TDD. Still a great game nonetheless and I would recommend trying it out along with other games from the Amnesia saga.
I've been playing all of the dev's games start to finish, after playing Soma first and enjoying it. This game is finally getting closer to why I liked Soma. Gone is the annoying battery/oil mechanic. This game actually doesn't have an inventory, which you could argue Soma doesn't really have either. The graphics and production quality are getting better. No combat or anything, just avoidance. The stealth parts are much less annoying than previous installments. The story was pretty cool. A little confusing, but it's probably the type of game you have to play twice to really get. Once was good enough for me though. I could feel that there was some kind of connection with the previous game, but had to go digging on the internet to find some theories and things that I missed. All pretty cool stuff. For some reason, the game kinda gives me Bioshock vibes in some of the areas with machines; probably just the time period. The game had some frame rate issues. Resolved this most of the time by alt tabbing and going back. Not sure what that was about, as I have a computer that runs stuff much more modern than this at ultra settings. I picked this game up on a big sale with the others. I'd definitely recommend doing that if you are on the same journey. It's fun, but a bit dated and short for full price. I'm not sure how many hours I have in it as I accidentally left it on one night. It's probably a five hour game. Definitely worth it though. Looking forward to the next one.
