Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Jul 31 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Welcome... to Amber Isle! A shop management/social sim set in a quaint, friendly world of prehistoric animal islanders called Paleofolk!
You’re tasked with running Amber Isle’s only shop. Gather, craft and sell items to meet the needs of your diverse Paleofolk customers. Does your brachiosaur buddy need a canvas as long as his neck? Maybe your microraptor amigo needs a mini-sized chair? Perhaps even some water-proof paper for a plesiosaur in peril? Different customers also have different needs, behaviours and preferences to learn. Haggle, pawn, and counter-offer your way to the top of the Shop Rankings! It’s up to you to run a successful shop to bring Amber Isle back from the brink of fossilisation!

Name, customise and run your shop your way! Use your profits to unlock new shop decor, walls, floors and more. As your shop gains popularity, plan your layout wisely, expand your floorspace and make your shop more efficient.
Rebuild the island!
You can also use your shop profits to help rebuild the island and unlock new areas. Decorate with paths, foliage, and amenities to make Amber Isle an attractive destination. Only then will our Paleofolk pals consider packing up and moving in permanently!

Paleofolk come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and species- it’s not just dinosaurs! There’s Ice Age mammals, Permian amphibians, marine life, invertebrates, and more! Amber Isle has 48 different Paleofolk to befriend, all with unique personalities, preferences, dialogue, and quests.

Get closer to Paleofolk by hanging out with them and fulfilling their requests. As your friendship grows, Paleofolk will share new upgrades and recipes with you. With your help, they can even build their own stalls, cafes, gardens, and communal areas on Amber Isle!
Express your penchant for the prehistoric by designing your very own Paleofolk! Change your clothes, crests, colours, and more in our character customiser! Pick from 5 body presets; Small Herbivore, Large Herbivore, Raptor, Large Theropod and Mammal. What type of Paleofolk will you be?
The Story So Far…
Amber Isle is down to its last remaining residents; the grumpy iguanodon Mayor Clawsworth, the peppy pteranodon courier Maple, and the mega-keen megalosaurus intern Adi. In a last-ditch attempt to revitalise Amber Isle, Mayor Clawsworth reluctantly agrees to let you open a shop. During your adventure, you’ll learn more about your new friends, the history of the island and how exactly it fell into disrepair…
So, what are you waiting for!?
Let's stock the shelves and dust the displays, because it's almost opening time for your brand new adventure on Amber Isle!

a nice lil game to just unwind and enjoy. no need to race the clock to do things (exept for special requests) a simple game of management, crafting and resource collecting. each creature is unique and cute. (being a graduate of 3d animation) i love the environment and characters. the character creation has a good choice of options and even premade ones you can finagle to your liking. tho i did have the mayor t-pose and slide during his ''walk'' wich was funny. another scene also happened with the mayor, he was looking at the wall while talking to me and other characters, he sorta fixed himself when he was talking to just me, not sure if it was supposed to be like that or not. i did get some minor camera glitches (i think it colided with an invisible wall) a friend watched me play it and got it. i did enjoy playing and will continue to play this fun lil game :)
Game took forever to 100%, had a bug where one of the villagers was at level 5 but my save was allegedly bugged and I didn't get the last crafting recipe. Way I fixed this was inviting to hang out, crafting or giving items they hated, and I eventually got the last achievements. It's really cute, simple and addicting. Cheers!

I am in love with this game. The art style is adorable, I love the characters, the craftables are SO CUTE. I feel as if the progression is even and fair. I only have a few issues with it, and these obviously haven't been dealbreakers. For one, the camera controls are lacking and can be awkward, especially when decorating your shop or the different regions. There are a few interactions that are a bit awkwardly coded, not sure if they're bugs or what. Just feels as if they lack polish. Shop rank could use some minor adjustments. And lastly, the tutorial lasts way too long. I remember thinking "please just let me play the game by myself already." Some of the negatives could be dealbreakers for some people, but I think it's worth a shot to push past them because this game is lovely and charming and so so cute and fun!!
Reccetear-lite, but Dinos!
This is a review in-progress. While I have very little time put in, I've already popped this in as a keeper to my library, and wanted to get something a bit more up-to-date and relevant for other folks curious around the currently running sales period. What is Amber Isle? I'd best describe it as a very light version of Reccetear, mixed in with the villager-focused psuedo-open "story" of Critter Cove/Animal Crossing. You're a shopkeeper, you're the only one who can craft anything, you know the drill. If you're entirely unfamiliar with shopsims, Amber Isle is a perfect entry title. It does lack a little quality of life for those familiar to the genre, but is more than servicable. Should I buy this? If you're looking at this during the -75% sale period? Yes. If you're even a little bit interested in an Animal Crossing x Shop Sim tie-together, or love your dino games, this one's a no-brainer. Honestly, 9 dollarydoos felt like a total steal, so I wound up getting the Deluxe version on top to support the devs. First Impressions: Pros - The character customization is meaty! It's not as in-depth as Critter Cove (the difference being a chasm even just for species), but the fact I was able to create a very cute Nargacuga-esque avian Paleofolk is a big win in my books. One massive point it has over CC is the ability to save your presets! Sufficient layering/colour options will definitely have you stuck in to perfect your character for the first hour. - Well-written and personable characters. Obviously, the bar for expectations isn't all that high, but I was pleasantly surprised given how easy it is for these kinds of games to be painfully dry (or worse, have NPCs who don't talk at all!). - Tutorial being baked into the story (more an introduction). I'm not honestly sure why this is such a persistent complaint in the couple of Negative reviews I've seen, because at most you'll be in the tutorial stage (before Adi lets you loose) in less than an hour. It does a good job at cementing menu/sub-menu usage so you're less likely to get lost later on. First Impressions: Cons - Notice how many of the reviews talk about the camera? It's.. not honestly THAT bad. You do have the ability to zoom out, but the perspective is hard-locked to front-facing, meaning no turning. You'll find the occasional half-second problem with resources tucked behind cliffs, but their very visible positions mean you're not missing them when you walk by. - You cannot rename your character or your shop. This is a particular lack of quality-of-life that I find baffling, though I'm hopeful - given the last major update was just in March - they have it on their radar for the future. It's just a bit odd that such a basic feature isn't in the game nearly two years after its release.
I like this game. It is cute and fun. I love resource gathering and the little shop you run is super cute. I love building relationships with all the customers and doing quests around the island.

So cute, I love all things prehistoric!
game so cute and fun i genuenly got addicted for a bit.
I'm absolutely obsessed with this game. It's so cute, I stream this game to my boyfriend while I play it and we both love paleo-media and every time we see a new character we have a fun little time trying to guess what kind of dinosaur they are. We were stuck on what Adi was when we first saw him, he's a Megalosaurus however he looks like a yutyrannus/albertosaurus because he looks slightly fluffy. When coral first appeared, we put our knowledge to use, "she's some kind of mosasaur" "a pliosaur?" "no she's got a longer neck surely she's a plesiosaur or something alike that genus". I guessed correctly first ofc. She was a plesiosaur, and so far she is our favourite character. I love the aspect of each paleofolk you meet having different preferences, personalities and attributes to strengthen their character. It shows a lot of effort was put into this game. This is definitely a keeper!
