Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 16/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I don't feel like I'm playing the daughter of Ellen Ripley; it's more like being a chew-toy. God-mode Xenomorph isn't fun. Constantly reloading save games and being forced to redo tedium cut-scenes, scavaging, crafting, and mini-puzzles isn't fun. Yeah, that's what happens every time the alien catches you, and the alien always catches you. It's omnipotent, omnipresent, and invincible. That doesn't make it scary... it makes it boring. It's not frightening, it's just frustrating. Alien wasn't a movie about a protagonist getting killed over and over again, so why is that how the game works? I don't find it remotely believable that the person I'm inhabiting could make it through this adventure alive. The main character is supposed to survive, not be murdered and reloaded again and again... and again... and again... Xenomorphs aren't supposed to be indestructible, they're supposed to be tough. The crew of the Nostromo were on a ship half the size of one game level and they didn't spend the second half of the movie hiding in lockers. Don't give me a gun and make it pointless. Don't give me a motion tracker and make it useless. If everything alerts the thing you can't kill and have to avoid, you don't have a functioning game, you have me playing something else instead.
18 missions in the base game. Only 41% of steam owners have gone past the 4th mission. I don't really understand the high praise the game gets. When the majority of people haven't actually experienced the game. I only made it past the 16th mission myself (didn't finish 17) And you can see by the play time. They're not overly long missions. The game gets boring, repetitive and the story just can't hold it together.
2 hours in and I already understand why this game is called Isolation. Because apparently my preferred strategy is isolating myself inside a locker and refusing to come out. This game is over a decade old and somehow still has better atmosphere than most modern horror games. Sevastopol feels disgusting, abandoned and completely unsafe. The lighting, retro-futuristic computers, alarms, vents and sound design make the whole station feel like it was ripped directly out of the original Alien. And then the Xenomorph shows up. This thing does not feel like a normal videogame enemy. You cannot memorize one patrol route and casually walk around it. It searches, reacts, disappears into vents, comes back when you think you're safe, and generally behaves like it has a personal problem with you. The motion tracker is especially evil. BEEP. Okay. BEEP BEEP. Maybe I should hide. BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP. Locker. Immediately. I also love that the game doesn't turn Amanda Ripley into some action hero mowing down aliens. You're underpowered, constantly scavenging, and most encounters are solved through hiding, distracting or running like your life insurance just expired. It's slow, stressful and absolutely not instant-gratification horror. That's exactly why it works.
9/10 so far
Beautiful atmosphere. Incredible AI. Fantastic Alien adaptation. I have spent an unreasonable percentage of my playtime inside furniture.
A masterpiece. A love letter to the first Alien film. One of the greatest Alien games ever made. One of the greatest horror games of my time. IGNorant giving this a 5.9 is a crime against gaming.
just a damn good horror game
Que juegazo lpm. Buena historia, gameplay, terror, todo. 20/10
Like many other people, I really wanted to like this game. And while there are some good moments, they are completely eaten away by some very bad choices. Graphics are great, but design is boring; white corridors with computers and lockers, over and over again. Half of deaths felt undeserved and random. The game has only one puzzle - go to the other side of the station, play a mini game to open the door, pull the switch, get back, don't get killed by Alien in the process... Now repeat 50 more times... Some games are known to have unsatisfying endings, but this one must be number one (spoiler: it just ends, goodbye). And, worst of all, this game seriously overstays its welcome. Needless to say I haven't touched the DLC. The reason people like this game is because of Xenomorph, and we all like Xenomorph. Let's face it, if it was some other entity, game wouldn't do nearly as well as it did.
I have a love-hate relationship with this game but I guess it's more of a hate... I love Aliens theme and everything about them and the game has a precise and beautiful graphic fidelity that matches the movies. Even the atmosphere of the indomitable Alien is absolutely great you can't hide from his adaptive AI even in the most musty room. But what really ruins the game in my opinion is a very stretched playing time which in certain passages really disrupts the atmosphere of the given moment because instead of one unexpected situation the game will often gives you several at once and instead of intuitively/fluent solving the mission/task you confusedly run around in the space station there and back again until you literally hard-work your way through the game...
